I started viibryd about 5 months ago and after the starter pack and my first month on 40 mg I started have noises in my ears. Went back and he said 20 mg is just as good as 20. The noises are getting worse and he said it could be the viibryd but it suppose to be such a wonder drug he wants me to stay on it. I can't stand the noise they are getting worse I'm going to go back on Prozac. Has anyone else had this problem ## Hello, Yvonne! How are you doing? Sorry about the tinnitus. Yes, many doctors get up in the new wonder drug hype, I understand why, since they want to help their patients, but sometimes extra caution would be the best approach, in my opinion….but that's just my opinion. Tinnitus isn't a common side effect, but if only started when you started the Vi...

I was perscibed 30 mgs. of remeron and 200mgs. of zoloft. Then was told to increase the dose of remeron to 45mgs. the ringing in the ears got worse. It is a loud pierceing wine, ## Hello, Don! How are you doing? Sorry about the tinnitus. Has it eased up, at all, yet? It is difficult to say what might be causing it, it is often a side effect of medications, but could also be entirely unrelated. Have you consulted your doctor? When was the last time you had a hearing exam?

At first I was a wreck, super high anxiety and depression and I cried several times a day. I think that might have been due to stopping my previous med Celexa though. I'm on day 8 of Viibryd and I really feel like it's starting to help. I take it at night when I plan on going to sleep soon because it gives me stomach upset, not really nausea either but a bad sharp burning pain above my navel. It's nothing that keeps me from sleeping but something I'd rather not deal with during the day hence the night time dose. Another con to my experience with Viibryd so far is I took my first 20 mg. dose last night and had a horrible night trying to sleep. It was hard for me to fall sleep because I had bad anxiety and mild panic attacks. Then once asleep I kept waking up. However desp...

is fluoxetine mfg aurobindo gluten free? ## Hello, Edb! How are you? Can you please post back with the markings on the tablet? Sometimes the manufacturer listed by the pharmacy is just a licensed distributor and not the actual product manufacturer. So, I can only find the correct inactive ingredients through the markings on them. Thank you! ## I've got the same question! The capsules I have are green and white and are marked E 91. I'd appreciate any help.

Can I drink sometime when I am taking cipralex 10 mg? ## Hello, Jack! How are you? It is never a good idea to drink alcohol, when taking any prescription medication. Cipralex contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant. If taken with alcohol, it can cause a worsening of the side effects, making one drink affect you the same as two and etc. Learn more Escitalopram details here. Due to the possible effects on your stomach and cardiovascular system, it's best to abstain, unless your doctor specifically says it's okay for you to do so. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I am taking cipralex which is the same aslexaproIn think.Escitalopramoxalate 10 mg... Anyway... Hi, I take 40 mgs of celexa a day, however, mistaking it for another one of my scripts ( silly me for not looking at the label) I may have taken as much as 200 mgs. Is it possible NOT to have any side effects? I've been on Celexa for at least 5 years and I still get that brain zapping on the 40 so its possible I need to go up anyway ( but of course not to 200) ## FYI - nothing happened ## Hello, Laseven! How are you doing? I'm very glad that nothing untoward happened. However, there could be some risk of some type of organ damage, though it's not very high, but in light of that, I think you should contact your doctor and let them know. They may need to do some blood work to check your liver and kidney function, just to be safe. Learn more Celexa details here. Are there any o...

I wanted to go off my antidepressant 150 mg. of pristiq My doctor dropped the 50 mg. of pristiq and started me on 10 mg of viibyrd . I'm sick all the time, dizzy, fill like i'm going to throw up all the time and very depressed. I wanted to go off antidepressants all together, why do doctors just keep putting you on more pills. I've been taking antidepressants for over 22 years, I just retired at 62 and can't afford to be on this medicine any more. ## Hello, Brenda! How are you doing? Sorry that you are experiencing such symptoms. Withdrawal effects are always a possibility when stopping antidepressant medications, so your doctor may have switched you to the low dose of Viibryd to try to prevent them, but only your doctor can really tell you for sure. I'd been having panic attacks for the past 2 months. Of course not doing anything about them they gradually got worse. I made 5 appointments and couldn't leave the house to get to them. Today my husband went with me :) I started on lexapro 10 mg. Can't wait for it to kick in and work!! ## Hello, Teagal! How are you doing? It's great that you finally made it to the doctor to get help! :-) Way to go!!! As to the Lexapro, you should be warned that these types of medications can sometimes make things a bit worse, before they start to get better, so for the first couple of weeks you need to be careful and try to take it easy. If things get too bad, make sure to contact your doctor immediately. Learn more Lexapro details here. Other side effects to Lexapro may include nausea, ...

Hi All, I was taking 300 mg of the generic made by Watson. I didn't feel anything different for the first 2 week of being on it, but the third week I started to notice the effect of the medication and I felt great! It is the first antidepressant that has made a dramatic difference in my mood and energy levels. I was very excited until I started itching like crazy during my forth week on the medication. After calling my doctor, she said I should stop taking the medication. We've discussed trying the name brand, but I've called around and without insurance (my insurance does not cover name brands), the cheapest would be close to $400 a month, which is way out of my budget. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Has anyone else had this issue? Would it be worth trying out a di...

Hi, I've been taking Szetalo 10mg for 1 year and now I want to stop or at least reduce the frequency in which I take this tablet. I'm hoping to avoid certain side effects like weight gain, drowsiness, dry mouth etc. I had stopped taking it for only 5 days and later felt dizzy and fainted. How can I safely get off of this medication? ## HI, Kittu! Sorry about the problem that you're having. Szetalo contains the active ingredient Escitalopram and these antidepressants usually needed to be very slowly tapered to prevent the type of withdrawal effects that you experienced, as well as possible rebound depression and anxiety. The preferred method recently has been to have the patient start skipping days, such a taking it for a day then skipping a day. That is done for a week or so...

I currently take pristiq 100. I've been taking it for about 7 months. I have found that alcohol had zero affect on me. I only seem to get tired! I have the occasional drink socially I'm not a big drinker. Has anyone else had this experience?? ## Hello, Haylez! How are you doing? Yes, there are others that have experienced this, when combining alcohol with such antidepressants. However, after learning what has happened to some, I must give you a word of caution…. Please discuss your drinking with your doctor and if they say it is okay for you to indulge, you should still keep it to a minimum. Several people have made posts about experiencing this and then drinking far too much, to the point where they've had blackouts or seizures and that can be life threatening. Are th...

Started cymbalta med in late 2006. Initially, I lost about 8 lb and besides some other "bad" side effects, the results to this day are good and 'steady'. However, in the last four years the weight has started to creep up little by little to where I can not (even with modest excessive) get back down to where it was initially in 2006. Also, as I eat properly and very cautiously, the weight now drastically fluctuates from day to day. I believe my age, now 61, along with the 60mg of cymbalta, might demand at least ..now...35 minutes on treadmill three times a week for this initial weight loss to be restored....but I'm a bit lazy recently..... ## Hello, Howard! What other drug would be very close to the Bupropion to substitute. My doc.told me to cut dosage in half and see if muscle pain lessens. If not then we are going to see what would work for me.On 150 it was great and helped me feel normal in years. So that is why I hope we can see how half works.Pain is still 24/7 but does respond to alleve and is about 5 out of 10 now.Possible it has not reached efficafy point at 4 weeks maybe? Thanks Thanks ## Hello, Juan! How are you? Are you using it to treat depression? There are many other options available that you can try, there are SSRIs, SARIs, SNRIs, MAOIs and tricyclics. You may want to talk to your doctor about trying an SARI, since they can also sometimes help with nerve pain, so they may prevent more issues than they cause for you.

I filled my pill minder and now can't remember what it is ## Hello, Debi! How are you? Are you on Viibryd, by any chance? There's a 20mg Viibryd tablet that matches this description. Learn more Viibryd details here. Side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and sleep paralysis. Background: I'm 47, male, 5'7" 170 lbs. Married 20 years to a great wife, two wonderful children and successful entrepreneur. In 2010, things began to go downhill. My 80 yr old father, to whom I was very close died suddenly. He was the most influential person in my life...a great father and a common sense man that made me the person I am. I followed him into the same career that he pursued as a television broadcast engineer. To say his death took a toll on me would be a massive understatement. Shortly after his death, the television station I worked for (20 years) began to experience major financial problems. It went up for sale. As the guy in my department with the the longest tenure, most experience and making the most money I was in a bad position. When a television stati...

I am 21 and am on day 41+ of a severe chronic sinus infection. I say plus because I was taking the medication Cymbalta for Fibromyalgia pain before my counting started and I believe the symptoms I experienced from Cymbalta were so intense that it hid the infection since my "Day 1" is from a trip to the ER and I've read it takes awhile for you to end up in the hospital from sinus infections. Also, it is still going on. My doctor originally thought my symptoms -intense pressure in head-pain in both ears-extreme sensitivity to light and noise-and INSANE throbbing pain like a knife stabbing the right side of my head randomly for minutes at a time- were the start of chronic migraines or a little sinus infection, however, was wrong after I got my Brain MRI results back last week s...

Sorry that you're feeling miserable. You weren't on it very long, so the withdrawal effects should be minimal, especially if your doctor has you tapering. But for the symptoms you are getting, the best remedy is actually time. When I stopped taking a similar medication cold turkey, it took a couple of months, but I had been taking it for years.
