I have been completely off of Effexor for almost 7 weeks now after only taking it for a little over a month. The more intense withdrawal effects, such as brain zaps, dizziness, nausea, etc. have passed but I am still having some weird cognitive issues. My memory seems to only be at about 50% of what it usually is, I'm having a really hard time focusing on things, it feels like I can't translate my thoughts into words and I generally feel emotionally "flat." Will this pass with more time? Is this common for Effexor withdrawal? I was taking Effexor for a bout of insomnia that I believed to be anxiety-related. I am not depressed. ## Yes, this type of withdrawal effect is very common. When I stopped Zoloft, a few years ago, after being on it for about 6 years, it took about ...

I have just finished my first wek of the starter pack. I actually already feel more motivation and energy. Now weaning off Cymbalta at 20 mg/day; also take Trazadone 100 mg 3 at bedtime. Have terrible sleep problems & the Trazadone has been wonderful for that; old drug and cheap...originally prescribed for depression, then people realized they were sleeping better than ever. Have had no real problems with Viibryd as yet. However, I have the Trazadone and take Codeine 30 mg twice a day. That probably has kept me from having the diarrhea most people experience. I have mixed connective tissue disease, fibromyalgia, severe arthritis, and osteoporosis. I am on my second hip replacement on the right, have a left ankle with plates & screws and my spine is fused from T11-L4 with rods et...

My daughter was prescribed Risperidol for mood disorder. She is 30 years old and already taking Lexapro. I have heard that this drug has some adverse side effects, and I would like to know what they are. ## This drug is dangerous especially if given to a misdiagnosed patient by an eager doctor looking to fill a pharmaseutical quota and a quick fix inconsiderate of individuals responses to known side effects. RISPERDAL® (risperidone) is used for the treatment of irritability associated with autistic disorder in children ages 5-17; the treatment of schizophrenia in adults; and the treatment of bipolar mania associated with Bipolar I Disorder in adults. IS THIS YOUR DAUGHTER? There are many side effects but this one scares me the most: TARDIVE DYSKINESIA (Tics). The side effect of tic...

VERY VERY VERY SMALL ORANGE PILL WITH A STRANGE LOOKING 10 ON ONE SIDE AND NO MARKING ON OTHER. ON THE 10 THE 1 LOOKS MORE LIKE AN "I" AND THE 0 IS SOME STRANGE CIRCLE/OVAL. FOUND IN SONS ROOM HE SAYS HE TOOK THEM NEED HELP ASAP ## Its citalopram 10 mg. They're anti-depressants, no recreational value. Unless he took tons them at once, nothing's going to happen to him. He won't even get a high/buzz/etc off of it because ssri's don't work that way. Idk if you should be happy to know nothing will happen or sad to know your sons so stupid he took pills that cant get you high to get high ## @URGENT HELP, Just to confirm, the pill you have described is indeed Citalopram hydrobromide (10 mg). Needing to know if i could take both my meds bupropion xl 300mg and diclofen pot 300mg ## I take Bupropion 300XL, (generic Wellbutrin), and my doctor gave me a Rx for Diclofen Pot 50MG. Our pharmacist knows all my prescriptions and didn't mention any problem taking them both. I haven't noticed any side effects. Anti-inflammatory class drugs can mess with my stomach, but that's all. Speaking of Bupropion, I wish more doctors prescribed it rather than the SSRI drugs. Those are terrible. Made me so sleepy, gain weight and lose my libido. What a difference getting on Bupropion. None of those side effects. Actually "increased" my libido. Lost 30 pounds, that I'd put on taking the SSRI's. ## Thanks for the feedback LarryV (post #1), I just wanted to confirm through...

Okay... so for quite a few years now (at least 3-4 consecutively) I've been having extremely debilitating panic attacks. So much so that not only have they raised the stress in my life so bad as to cause ulcers, but I've been hospitalized on more then 3 seperate occasions due to a severe anxiety disorder. I've tried many things, saught counceling, a therapist... was put on Celexa, Buspar, Wellbutrin, Diazepam.. (I'll not list everything, as the doctors had me jumping around for awhile.) However, Alprazolam and Clonozepam* are the only two 'anti-anxiety' meds that seem to work for me. As they onset quickly, I need something that response just as quickly. Unfortunately, I do not currently have insurance.. (At least not until the 1rst of Feb) And I'm seeking a d...

Someone gave me this pill and it worked better than an antidepressant. Made my mood better and took my anxiety away. ## HI, Rhonda! A royal blue and clear capsule with K 28 on it contains 30mgs of Phentermine, which is a stimulant that's actually used to aid in weight loss. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and anorexia. Learn more Phentermine details here. It may have helped because your depression and anxiety could possibly be caused by issues that resemble ADHD, rather than whatever you've been diagnosed with. That's just a theory, since I'm not a doctor, but it is possible and has happened to other people, as well. Are there any other questions or comments? ## How can I obtain K28 diet pills, dark blue on one side an clear with light and dark blue ...

Taking mirtazapine 7.5 MG @ Bedtime to sleep for about 6 days. Iintermittent ntense pain right hip and groin when I move into a different position, started yesterday suddenly, no injury, just walking in house. sciatic nerve pain in past never hurt testicle. acedamaphin 1000 dampen pain, could this be a side effect of medicine? ## Is it just on one side of the body, or both? The FDA classifies Mirtazapine as an antidepressant and it has been known to cause some back pain, as a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weakness. But there's also a chance that could be due to a pinched nerve, if it's happening when you change positions. Have you had this checked out by your doctor, yet?

I am on day 4 without Pristiq in my system. I was on 100mg for 5 years then dropped to 50mg for a few months. I tried taking a pill every other day but on my off day I was having awful withdrawal symptoms so decided to just stop taking it and get this over with. The withdrawal symptoms are driving me crazy, brain zaps, hot/cold flashes, headaches, vertigo, anxiety. My doctor said I can wait it out until Thursday and see if it gets better otherwise it's to a different drug that can be weaned off more easily. Does anyone have any success stories for weaning off pristiq and surviving the symptoms? It would be nice to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel! ## I didn't do it with Pristiq, it was a different medication, but I can assure you that there is light at the end of t...

Possible release in 2019? chicagotribune.com/bluesky/originals/chi-naurex-series-c-funding-bsi-20141202-story.html ## @citygirl, Thanks for sharing this article on the advancement of GLYX-13. I think as long as Evanston can continue to utilize this molecule while minimizing the types of side effects that plague most prescription drugs, they'd find much success expanding on it's application for depression. The research backing up their experiments gives hope to those with treatment resistant depression and in my opinion may be a viable alternative for patients seeking a safer approach to managing these symptoms in the long run. I'll be looking forward to more updates as things progress! ## I meant to share this blurb from Chicago Magazine, as well. I have completed 20 treatme...

I am taking 40mg of Celexa and was switching to Wellbutrin. I followed the doctors orders of slowly decreasing the Celexa and started on Wellbutrin 100mg. The first day I started this I experienced a lethargic mood. I didnt feel any need to move, I could have just sat there and stared at the wall all day and that would have been fine with me. The second day was the exact same. The third day I didnt take the Wellbutrin. Thats when I finally got up and called the doctor. The doctors say this is odd and it may have to do with tapering off the Celexa. But on the third day I was still on a lower dose of Celexa but felt like normal. The doctors want me to try this again and I'm wondering if anyone has heard of this happening and if the effects I felt would taper off or not? Thanks So Much...

i am on prodap, tryptomer and restyl for the past 12 yrs. i hav got rashes on my legs and feet for the past 4 yrs. no medicine is of any help for the rashes. can it be due to antidepressants?wat shd i do? ## Since you have been on them 7 yrs longer then you have actually been experiencing the rashes, it is unlikely that you are allergic to the meds. But something is going on in your system. I would recommend telling your doc about your symptoms and also recommend having some allergy test done. It could very well be environmental or changes to your body, (like pregnancies as an example) or possibly you have developed a food allergies. Best of luck to you finding the cause of your rash. They are no fun! On a side note. Make sure you are using organic products, like lotion and body wash. Th...

Haven't found one that helps me what is the longest time one has taken to work for you please tell me. I have seem no improvement at all ## Hello, Theresa! How are you? Usually, it should be about 4 to 6 weeks, that's the time frame it usually takes for them to reach their full effectiveness in your body and for you to know if it's going to work for you, or not. What type of doctor have you been seeing, a general practitioner or a specialist? Your best bet would most likely be to see a specialist, since they know different combinations of medications that can work for someone who is resistant to conventional treatments. ## It usually takes a few weeks before you start feeling better, I've tried every antidepressant and seems to work the best for me... If all fails get on...
