IS THERE A DRUG THAT CAN DO WHAT DULOXETINE60MG WITHOUT CAUSEING YOU TO GAIN WEIGHT? ## Hello, Vickie! How are you? What are you taking it to treat? This information would better enable me to answer your question. For example, if you're taking it for anxiety and/or depression, then I'd suggest asking your doctor about Prozac/Fluoxetine. It is classified by the FDA as an SSRI antidepressant and is well known to not cause the weight gain than many others do. As a matter of fact, it has sometimes caused weight loss, along with nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.

Cam celexa (citalopram 40mg) cause slurred speech? ## Hello, Dianne! How are you? It shouldn't, unless its far too high of a dose for the person, or they are having a bad reaction to it. I'd suggest the person experiencing such see their doctor immediately to get too the root of the problem. Slurred speech could be the sign of a serious medication condition, such as a stroke. The typical side effects for Celexa, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, weight changes and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm on 10mg and it's been 10 days. My anxiety has gotten better and the fogginess is lifting. I'm still not feeling 100, but I'm trying to be patient. Also, my sleep is weird, I was waking up too many times in a night so I take .25 of Xanax to help. Question when does the tiredness go away? Is my Xanax causing more of a problem with morning sleepiness? ## Hello, Brownstone88! How are you? The FDA classifies Lexapro as an SSRI antidepressant and most of them can cause REM Onset Latency, which means it takes longer than usual for you to enter the REM sleep stage and you are in it for a shorter period of time, so such sleep disruptions like you've described are very common. However, just like the other side effects it can cause, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and d...

I took 5 mg for one week. Day 5, 6, and 7 my depression and anxiety increased. On day 8 I took 10 mg as directed by my Dr. Oh my... The anxiety was awful. An empty void in my soul - all day. Like I was drowning. And I had shaky hands. Next day I am 90% better. Feel great - started on wellbutrin (generic) for my mild to moderate depression. I am 45 and don't have a history of taking anti depressants. Last few years I had mild depression- and mild anxiety thru most of my life. ## Hello, Jon! How are you? I'm very sorry about the experience you had. However, according to the information provided by the FDA, that can happen, when you first start a medication, such as Lexapro. It can take about 3 weeks, or so, for those side effects to settle down and to know if it is going to work f...

Capsule, green top with M in black, grey bottom with 105 in black = generic fluoxetine (Prozac) 10mg made by Canadian pharmaceutical company Mint Pharmaceuticals. I realized I had my Rx filled with this generic rather than my usual (Novo), when I went looking for reasons why my anxiety had skyrocketed over the previous 2 weeks+/-. I suspect this is the cause and will find out soon when I find a pharmacy that still dispenses the Novo version. Just wanted to post this in case it's helpful to someone.

First day on Zoloft.. no noticeable side effects other than a little tired. I'm praying this stuff helps. I refuse to live with this anxiety/depression any longer! ## Hi Denise, Thanks for sharing your feedback on Zoloft. Not to discourage you in any way, but I actually remember seeing Zoloft being mentioned on television over a year ago regarding patients filing litigation against its manufacturer, due to serious side effects they incurred while taking it. I pray that you don't ever experience that side of Zoloft, but because of this I would strongly encourage you to proceed with caution if you notice anything too unusual or bothersome. I'll look forward to any future updates on your progress! Overcoming anxiety/depression can be a life long journey for some, but where ther...

Fell pregnant whilst taking Extine what are some of the birth defects this medication can cause ? ## Hello, Marni! How are you? Congratulations on the pregnancy! Extine is listed as containing the active ingredient Paroxetine, which the FDA classifies as an SSRI antidepressant. They place it in pregnancy category D, which means there has been some evidence of risk. Most prominently cardiovascular malformations. It would be best to make sure that your doctor knows that you were taking it, the dosage you were taking and how long you were taking it, before discovering you were pregnant. That way they can evaluate the risk level and they may be able to preempt some issues. Is there anything else I can help with?

Will celexa cause slurred speech? ## Hello, Dianne! How are you? If someone taking this is experiencing slurred speech, they should seek medical attention immediately. That could be a sign of a potentitally dangerous reaction to this medication called Serotonin Syndrome, which may be fatal, if left untreated. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this SSRI as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I recently had a urine test come back positive for opiates and amphetamines. I have a prescription for wellbutrin, oxycodone, and Seroquel. Now my medications got put on hold till confirmation comes back. ## Hey GQ sorry to hear about your challenges. Since you have a script for the medications it is expected for the Oxycodone to test positive for opiates. As long as you can show the medication schedule / prescription from your doctor I think you should be fine. I hope they will get your sorted out ASAP. What exactly did they say when the tests came back? ## Yeah i think you maybe have a false positive situation here. is either wellbutrin or seroquel classified as amphetamine? ## They know about my scripts, and are sending out for confirmation from the lab, until then I'm stuck on ho...

I started taking Effexor yesterday. 75mg twice a day. I immediately started feeling nauseated. I also felt very anxious. I googled it and came across these message boards filled with horror stories about the side effects and God-forbid if you try to wean yourself off of it. My question is since I've only been taking it for 2 days, will i have the horrible side effects if I stop taking it? I should have done research on it before I started taking it. I usually do. But this time I was just so desperate for something to help with my depression. ## Hello, Teacakesbabe! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you had. Hi. I just got back on Lexapro after being off for 6 months because my anxiety returned after being on for 2.5 years. I was on 5mg for a week with side effects that started to feel manageable on day 7. On day 8 I upped dosage to 10mg and it seems as though it's all started over again with the side effects. I thought I had prepared my system with 5mg,but here I am lethargic again and drowsy. The mornings are the worst, afternoons its like I wake up from the nasty fog and at night I'm fine. Please some help me out in this..I'm on day 3 of 10mg and it's like I started over... ## Hello, Brownstone88! How are you? I absolutely do not want to go off Sertraline, but a friend has had good results so far (especially in the sleeping at night area) with Mirtazapine ... she's taking 2 grams which sounds humongous but. Does anyone know if a small amount of Mirtazapine can be taken along with Sertraline. I'm going through these constant depressive episodes and I'm on 200mg of Sertraline. I'm also going to try and take brand Zoloft (waiting to get a card for reduced price). Help, I'm sick of being so depressed and anxious so much. thanks denise ## Hello, Denise! How are you? I don't even remember how long I have been on Effexor, but I know the day the doctor gave me samples, he said that this is a new medication that I want you to try and see if it doesn't help you more than the others we have tried. HA! That is the joke of the century. I also take sinemet and requip for restless legs syndrome. Little did I know that you are not supposed to mix the medications. Now my body, mind and brain are addicted to all three. I want nothing more than to be off all this medication. I have an appointment tomorrow with my doctor to discuss this option, however, with all I have read, I am almost too scared to try it. I have had the shakes, the electric shocks or short circuit issues in the brain and everything I have heard talked about. It is a shame to think that...

I am allergic to sulfa and was prescribed this as a sleep aid. I do not trust my doctor as I am also allergic to morphine and was given a drug containing that. ## Hello, Kait! How are you? No, Trazodone is the active ingredient and it is not sulfa related. However, that does not mean that you may not also be allergic to Trazodone. When someone is allergic to other medications, there is a greater risk that they will be allergic to more. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weigh changes. Is there anything else I can help with?
