I've been on Effexor for 11-12yrs for anxiety & myoclonus til less than 1 week ago I changed to pristiq, due to the horrible disabling side effects of Effexor (for 3 wks) if I miss 1 tablet. Pristiq has the same metaboliser as Effexor but diff main ingredient. So I had no noticeable side effects jumping from Effexor to pristiq except shortness of breath and tight chest. Which mind you is not nice. And documents state I should tell my doc straight away. Well it's Easter weekend and he's not in so I'm just hanging on til tomorrow, til he's in again. I hope I just live with all the other stuff like the constant over sweating, no Lobido, constipation.

I am on 50mg of Zoloft to help treat night eating disorder. I am very sensitive to meds - so expected some effects - but: - teeth grinding - elevates heart rate - shortness of breath I have started on Zoloft for the same issue before but stopped after a week or 2 because of the above. QUESTION: is anyone's experience similar and do those things "smooth out" as body adjusts (and about how long does that take?) Hoping to power through for a few weeks more this time to see of there's light at the end of the tunnel. ## Hello, Alex! How are you? Side effects are usually transient, so they'll taper off in severity and eventually go away entirely, once your body gets used to the medication. However, that could take 4 to 6 weeks. Unless they are so severe that you can't ...

Starting taking last night for first time had a good night sleep but the next day felt sedated all day was hard to function at work is the normal with start up. ## Hello, Andre! How are you? Yes, that can be normal, when you're new to taking this medication. The FDA classifies it as a tricyclic antidepressant. You may also experience other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I feel tired all the time, still having some hot flashes, and my family said that my moods are off the chain sometimes. ## Hello, Cathy! How are you? When is the last time your doctor checked your hormone levels? Have you considered trying anything else to treat these symptoms? Some women have very good luck with an SSRI, such as Prozac. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache and weight loss. But yes, if you're still having symptoms, that's a good sign that you aren't balance, yet.

Oblong light blue pill with 17 on one side and D on other side ## Hi Myssi, The closest match I'm finding to your description, is an oblong light blue pill with the numbers "1|7" on one side (separated by a divit/score line) and a capital "A" on the other (which looks like it could actually resemble a D, depending on the overall condition it's in - because the letter A is kinda bulged outward in the center). At any rate, this particular pill is identified as a 50mg Sertraline hydrochloride tablet, used for treating depression and anxiety. For verification, the manufacturer is listed as Aurobindo Pharma and the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 65862-0012. Additional reports suggest that it is approximately 10mm in size. Maybe you can take a measuring ta...

been on Celexa now for 2 1/2 months I have a cold any suggestions on what medicines I can take and which ones I want to stay away from ## Hello, David! How are you? I'm sorry, but when it comes to possible interactions, there are far too many for me to be able to list them all for you. What cold remedy do you usually use? That would narrow down the list, so I can check for possible problems for you. Sandomigran is listed as containing the active ingredient Pizotifen, which is intended to reduce the frequency of migraines, but actually doesn't prevent them all. Stopping it will li...

I have been taking Citalopram for about 4 months now, I still cry every week and I feel more depressed than what I felt before taking these tabs, they really make me feel awful, I stay in bed most of the time and very rarely venture out of the house, I am becoming a recluse and feel like I am heading for a huge breakdown, has anyone else experience these side-effects on Citalopram ## It is well known that some antidepressant can backfire in some people that take them, this may actually cause depression, or make existing depression and anxiety worse. Hi I'm Chantelle my GP today prescribed citalopram 10mg for my anxiety/depression, after reading things from other users of this product I'm scared of taking it because the most common cause feeling sick is one of my biggest fears, with actually being sick, and I don't know whether to to take it! :( would I be better taking it before bed so I won't feel any symptoms, thanks ## Hi Chantelle, While I don't have any personal experience with citalopram, I do think it's important to understand that medications can and usually do effect everyone differently, whereas some people get great results, but there are others that it inevitably just doesn't work for no matter how many they take. Unfortunately when it comes to prescription drugs, the only way to find out is ...

How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. These are two different types of medications and I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between taking them both, but as Cheeks advised, you should always double check such information to be sure. Will Bupropion hcl 100mg help with depression? I don't smoke. The doctor gave me this instead of adderall for adhd. Is it remotely the same? How long before it makes me feel even a little bit better? Thanks so much... ## Hello, Katgal2020! How are you? The FDA classifies Bupropion as an antidepressant that is also used to aid in smoking cessation. It is not approved to help with ADHD symptoms, but many people report it as being quite successful at helping with it and it isn't addictive like most of the other treatment options. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and mood swings. It will take about 4 weeks to reach its full level of effectiveness in your body to see if it works for you. Is there anything else I can help with?

How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. SSRI antidepressants, such as Celexa, are listed by the FDA as being known to cause REM onset latency, which explains the odd sleep issues.
