Does anyone know whether there are long term effects from Dilantin or whether there is any current research looking into this? ## I've taken it for 50 years combined with phenobarb. Gums are puffy (only a dentist notices) and they may bleed during a dental cleaning. I go in ever 3 months instead of 6. It seems to chill you out and associates may comment that you are really layed back. I think there are much newer meds for the same thing. Phizer used to combine Dilantin with Phenobarb which was super convenient. Now you have to carry the kapseals (capsuls) and tabs of phenobarb. Suffered seizer on 1-8-2008 was initially on Eptoin OD subsequently doctor prescribed Zenoxa 750 mg OD no further seizure on Zenoxa for last one year. Want to know side effects of Zenoxa whether it is suitable for long duration. Thanks ## Zenoxa contains the active ingredient Oxcarbazepine, which is an anticonvulsant and mood stabilizer. Found several white oval pills with 93 and 122 printed on the front. The pill is scored with 93 on the left and 122 on the right. Does anyone know what this is? ## I believe I located a match the only difference is the numbers read 93 132. I had an attack of major depression with delussion & panic phobia some 16 years back. Treated by psychiatrist who prescbed different drugs on different ocassiona. Lastly i was under OLANZAPINE 5mg &FLUXETINE 20mg for last 8 years.But it was gradually making me drowsy & concentrationless Iwas getting blunt & gradually becoming incable of performing official work at which iwas very comfortable earlier , This compelled me to take advice of another psychiatrist in april 09. He took the case history and told me that i was solong taking wrong meicines. He prescribed me PAROXITINE 40 mg once daily at bed time. Excluding some initial headachs i was fine and was free from earier symptoms. But suddenly after 2 months of stating paroxitine 40mg a peculiar symptom crepy in. Istarted...

This is to William who I can't click on to reply. He hasn't taken Vimpat yet and wants to know more about it. How old are you William? How long have you had epilepsy etc.? Did you read about Vimpat on this website? Google? Or other epilepsy sites. Tell us more about yourself. I want to know what others are feeling that take Vimpat ## tiredness is a side effect, some days r worse than others but i found that i am used to it now and all is normal. side effects u can get with all pills, asprin etc., ## Vimpat contains the active ingredient Lacosamide, it is used to treat partial-onset seizures and diabetic neuropathic pain.
