I had a attack of epilepsy@ 8 years back. Earlier i was taking eptoin and now i am taking trioptal 300, 2.5 tabs/day. since last 5 years. My major concern is lack of concentration and memory loss. I um unable to recall major events happened in recent past. i also tend to forget roads,persons travelled/met recently Some times i get blank and talks incoherently. My therapist and psychiatrist worked together to prescribe the most effective treatment for my anxiety and alcohol abuse. I have been taking Zoloft for the past six years, and for the past two weeks I have been taking Topamax. I started with 50 mg at night the first week and increased to 100 mg at night the second week. I have been sober for 40 days, but my sugar cravings have not declined! I am eating bubble gum, Oreo cookies, candy ... mad sweets, sweets, sweets. I have been on gabapentin for two years now. I am on 800 mg 3x daily. I was put on this due to severe facial pain due to severe trauma to my face in a car accident. My face slammed into the dashboard. My question is how long can gabapentin continue to work for me? I can not live in the pain I had before taking gabapentin. Drs. are so frightened to write me any pain meds, such as fiorinal with codeine when I have a break through of severe pain in my sinuses. I have been operated on my sinuses 4x since the accident. Been on Dilantin for two yrs now and seem to have the monthly pain worse & worse. Does Dilantin cause this? ## Hello, Amanda! How are you? Those can be normal side effects of this medication, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight gain. Once you're on one steady dose for about a month, they should taper off and eventually go away entirely. If not, then you should inform your doctor as it may not be the right medication for you. hi I've been on vimpat for 6 month no seizers since my problem is the stomach and heart burn that came along with it anyone out there having the same issue and if so what cured your stomach and heart burn while taking vimpat? ## Hello, Aaron! will levetiracetam make you have a false postive or show up on a drug test ## Levetiracetam should not cause a false positive or even show up on a urine drug test. As far as hair drug test goes it would not show up on a hair drug test. One of the big advantages of hair drug test is that it is good at isolating only the drugs that are tested for, the main drugs of abuse so levetiracetam would not show up on a hair drug test. ## Well i took a drug test today and they asked me if i was taking barbiturates or.sedatives and i take dilantin and levetiracetam.

i have epilepsy from the age of 15..my first doctor who was a neuro surgeon prescribed me encorate chrono 300 from the very beginig during day and night after the meal...during this i lost my hair nearly almost...i doubted that it may be the side effect of the medicine...i discussed it with that doctor but he continiously refused it..in between 17-18 of my age i stopped that medicine without doctor consultation which causes me a massive attack...then we consult the doctor and he said to continue the medicine...i was consuming that medicine for 5.5years after that we thought to consult another doctor but this time a neuro physician...he was also prescribing the same medicine but from a low dosage but we denied it as we had searched in google about the side effcts of encorate chrono...and...

I been taking topamax for over a month now as a mood stabilizer and it's been working great. One problem I been having is the frequent everyday diaherra. Will this ever stop? I was prescribed 50 mg of topamax a day for migraines. I took it for one day before I realized that I shouldn't take it because of my history of kidney stones. However, from that one dose, I have had the annoying side effect of cokes and anything carbonated tastes flat. I took the dose Tuesday - it is now Friday and cokes still taste flat. How long does this last?
