I am going to take 100 mg neurontin twice a day and .5 mg xanax and 30 mg remeron at night. How would be the best way to take them ## I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I'm clear on exactly what you're asking. Do you mean when you should take them? How you should take them, such as with water or food? Or something else that I am missing entirely? Learn more Neurontin details here. Learn more Xanax details here. Learn more Remeron details here. ## When you should take them. Should they be spaced out such as taking the xanax between the neurontin doses. ## Ok I will make this as quick as possible. I have been on 1 to 4 mgs of subs for 2 months and taking 2 mgs of either klonapins or xanax all at around 6 am every day for the 2 months. Was in treatment and clean for 33 days before...

I first started on Topamax in 1999; no titration (which was hell) at something like 150 mg twice a day. It was wonderful, a miracle - for my Bipolar. I stayed on it for over 10 years, only going off because of new a Dr, new insurance. Then, last year in 2015 I started back on it. I can't even tolerate 100 mg A DAY in 2 doses. I become a raging B****! (Or cry in the middle of a crowded mall). I stopped it for months, then tried again. 25 mg twice a day did nothing. The Bipolar in me rather enjoys being a b**** except every body I know; all my family is pissed at me. People really need to watch for meds like this - you never know what'll happen. ## It isn't the medication that's different, it's you! Our bodies change as we age, and a medication that worked great for us...

A friend of mine and I both take 300 mg gabapentin but hers say purepac and mine do not what is the difference. ## Hello, Tabitha! How are you? Purepac is the manufacturer, so there's no difference in the medications, hers just lists what company made it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you very much and no thank you that is all I was wondering

I have been taking gabapentin for almost 2 months now. My doctor gave it to me for migrain head aches, restless leg syndrome and anxiety. I take 300 mg at bedtime every night. About an hour after I wake up in the morning I'm very sick to my stomach which sometimes lasts all day long. I also can not keep my legs still. I bounce them all day. About 3 hours before I go to bed I get very irritated. Once I take my night dose it all goes away. Could this be from the gabapentin? I do also take sertraline 50 mg every morning for my anxiety. ## Hello, Sharrie! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problems you're having. It could actually be due to either medication, they've both been known to cause such side effects, as reported by the FDA. However, the restless legs is more ...

Have been on Gabapentin for a year. Built up to 3200 a day for osteoarthritis in my feet. Decided to get off as it wasn't doing much for pain. My doctor brought me down to fast from 3200 to 1600 to 800 in 10 days. Now having stomach issues, anxiety, trouble sleeping, tightness in my chest. Been off of it for 8 days now. Does anyone know how long withdrawal lasts? Been told the higher the dose and time on it that it takes a while to feel better again. ## Hello, Sandy! How are you feeling? Have things improved, yet? There is really no precise time frame that can be given, because it can vary from person to person, it can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to over a month. As listed by the FDA, other withdrawal effects may also include rebound pain, fever, chills, and diarrhea. ## No...

For neuropathic pain. Can this cause small spots of dry skin all over the trunk of the body/breasts/ and now face? ## Hello, Ace! How are you? Yes, that can be a side effect of this medication, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. However, side effects are usually transient and go away with time, as your body gets used to a medication, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks. If things worsen, or if they don't eventually go away, you should consult your prescriber. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi Hope you can help I was just put on Epleptin and Synaleve for bad shoulder pain that started about a month ago, I am told that the pain stems from the nerves in my spine.( hard to understand how it can make my shoulder pain ) to me it feels like its something in my shoulder that needs fixing - but who am I to argue . I must say after just using it ones The pain is so much better , what I would like to know are these tabs going to fix the problem or will I jst have to keep taking them. ## Hello, Debbie! How are you? The nerves in your spine radiate out to the rest of your body. Your spine is the center location for all of them, that's why the problem may originate there. And no, these medications are not a cure, they can just help with the pain. Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant tha...

I am a nurse working with children with complex needs. the children are prescribed a number of medications one of which is Clobazam. I am trying to put together an information back around the medications we regularly dispence. ## Hello, Minnie! How are you? I'm not sure what your expiration date regulations are there, but shelf-life is usually one year from the date of dispensing, if they are in a pharmacy bottle and 4 to 5 years if still in the original factory sealed bottle. This medication is most commonly used to prevent seizures. The U.S. FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

CanI take Amitriptylene if I am taking Gabapentin and Clonidine ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? Only if your doctor has specifically told you to do so. I've been taking 300 mg of Dilantin for about 20 years for a single seizure episode. About 10 years ago I was experiencing low energy, bouts of depression, problems with ED and basically feeling like I was 40 years older than I was. I tried MDs, psychiatrists, therapy, vitamins with no success. Then I found a few studies that showed that long term Dilantin use effected the production and metabolism of testosterone in men. This was before docs were prescribing or making testosterone treatments for many things so there wasn't much out there about this. I pushed my doc and an endocrinologist for a blood work up and my t levels came back as low normal but the docs weren't convinced of the correlation but agreed to let me try a testosterone med as a trial. In one - two weeks many...

I have been on 150 milligrams of lamictal for approximately 2 years. I've been diagnosed with BPD. Through DBT therapy and meditation I have not had any hypo manic episodes for several months. I have been tapering down since November. I just dropped down to 50 milligrams. I'm feeling angry and impatient. Is this normal? Will this pass? Should I stop taking it completely and just get the withdrawal over with? ## Hello, Kat! How are you? Yes, those can withdrawal effects of any anticonvulsant or mood stabilizer. My daughter (7 years), takes 3 Zenoxa 150mg daily (in total 450mg). I can see almost all side effects which are mentioned for Oxcarbazepine, the side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision are quite noticeable. Doctor says to continue this medicine for another 2 year or more. But looking at her current state, I am worried about her in general fitness. She is not able to pay any attention to studies also. Can anyone suggest any natural way to cure this? Like excersice, yoga, specific food etc. I don't want to go for zenoxa now for 2 or more years from now. ## Sorry to hear about what your daughter is going through. If you don't mind me asking, exactly what condition(s) did her doctor prescribe this drug for? I'm asking because I see that Oxcarbazepine can be presc...
