Can one take expired Clindamycin if kept in cold storage? ## If you are referring to the tablets, they are only good for one year from the date of prescribing, after that they should be disposed of. This is an antibiotic, which may cause side effects such as: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea. A liquid or cream formulation has a much shorter shelf-life. I have no evidence of a causal link, but have a clear temporal link from the antibiotic to a degradation of the uvula continuing months following. Had also tendonitis generally and slow to recede. Any one else? ## Moxifloxacin is a Fluoroquinolone, and this class of medications is known to carry the risk of causing tendonitis, and tendon rupture as side effects, along with nausea, sore throat, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash. Ref: Moxifloxacin Information The tendonitis and sore throat side effects might explain the issues you've experienced. However, I must admit to being unsure of exactly what you mean by 'degradation of the uvula', so could you please expound on that? Thank you!

I've been having a sore throat for the past few days. The symptoms got worse every day. I started to sneeze, cough, and got a fever. I filled a prescription for some Penicillin called Ampicillina 500 mg per capsule from Mexico. I was instructed to take them every 8 hours, however, 3 pills a day seemed a bit much for me so I took one at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23rd, and then another one 8 hours later. The next dose would have been at 7:00 a.m., on Wednesday, May 24th, but I didn't take one till 9:30 a.m.. I forgot to take another 8 hours later, and I remembered this at 10:39 p.m., so I took another dose at 10:39 p.m.. I set an alarm this time but must have slept through it as I didn't wake up until 8:30 a.m., and I took the next dose at 8:39 a.m.. I do feel worse today, howeve...

My doctor put me on Xifaxan 3 X daily for 14 days because he had no samples. Walgreens called to inform me my copay is $844.00 which I can't pay! I know this works for SIBO bc I've had samples from him before. The cost of this antibiotic is excessive! ## I have now spoken with 3 pharmacist about coupons etc about cost of this Xifaxin! Without my Part D plan my insurance said my cost would be $4500. 14 days supply! Even the insurance rep tried to help but nothing anybody can do. Across the board this medicine is too costly! Many people have SIBO/ IBS & need this med. Our government should step up & help the seniors with these Big Pharm. Unless you are on Medicaid or have SSI or other subsidy you are screwed. Can you take Augmentin with NyQuil capsules? ## It should be fine as long as you're following the instructions that came with your prescription. Also, it's not recommended to drink alcohol when taking NyQuil. Other than that, I don't see interactions listed between Augmentin and any of the ingredients found in NyQuil [1]. If you still have concerns, you may wish to double check with your pharmacist.

Hello, my husband, 52 yro, 165 pds, woke up this morning with his cheak swollen from his tooth. I bought a bottle of Penicilina Nipecil 500 mg in mexico recently. What is the correct dosage and length he should take? Thank you for your help. ## I believe Nipecil might just be their brand name for it, but it seems the active ingredient is just Penicillin, which is an antibiotic that's used to treat various types of infections. Learn more Penicillin details here. The main problem, however, is that while it can treat the infection, it will not help with whatever underlying problem is causing the tooth to get infected, so it will likely just keep returning. He needs to see a dentist to have the tooth taken care of as soon as possible, they will also let him know what the best antibiotic...
