I've taken three dose of norflox TZ and I'm experiencing dizziness. How long will it last? I am in Mexico with food poisoning and a friend gave me what was thought to be an ibuprofen to help with aches but then realized it was actually amoxicillin. I have been taking doxycycline for 8 days for an autoimmune issue, but I think I am having a reaction. Although an urgent care Dr. treated me for my migraine only, said it's just a migraine and to keep taking doxycycline. I feel like I have the super flu on steroids along with a migraine that pales to the constant body and sharp pains. I've had migraines for decades and I refused to take the doxcycline today. I am allergic to sulphonamides in antibotic - when I took trimethoprim I got Stevens Johnson Syndrome. I went in hospitla yesterday. Was given morphine for pain and then co-codamol. Last night I felt very sick and dizzy and was kept in hospital this morning an hour an a half after taking more co-codamol i sat up in bed and had all the symptoms of passing out but didn't go fully. I was prescribed macrodantin for a UTI and I had a severe allergic reaction to it. Can i switch to amoxicillin right away? And how long will it take for the allergic reaction to subside? ## What symptoms did you experience? When I had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic it took several weeks for them to fully clear up. Been taking generic augmentin for 96 hours for a sinus infection. I must say that the pounding headaches behind the eyes are still present. I know h/a is a side effect of the drug and curious as to whether or not I've only swapped headaches. I'll give it another 24 yrs before I pull the plug and get some Keflex (my 1st choice). I've been taking Penicillin for 7 days once daily for strep. It's been a week and I felt worse and I just noticed that I was supposed to be taking the Penicillin twice a day instead of once a day. Should i just start taking it 2x daily until finished or do I need to stop and get a new / different antibiotic? ## What has your medical professional advised?
