I HAVE A TOOTH INFECTION AND CANT AFFORD DENTIST. IM ON MEDICARE WHICH DOESN'T COVER DENTAL. HAVE A NEW BOTTLE OF BACTRIM I HAD FROM STOMACH SURGERY LAST MONTH. ILL BE OK RIGHT? MY CHEEK IS SO SWOLLEN THAT MY RIGHT EYE IS SHUT, RIDE SIDE OF MY NOSE SWOLLEN SHUT, AND HAD TROUBLE BREATHING THIS MORNING CAUSE MY THROAT WAS SWOLLEN. FAMILY DR. SAYS GO TO A DENTIST WHICH I CAN'T AFFORD. I WAS ON FENTANYL LOLLY POPS YEARS AGO AND THEY WERE ALMOST PURE SUGAR, DESTROYED MY TEETH. JUST ABOUT EVERY TOOTH SNAPPED OFF IN THE GUM. I was prescribed this med for 6 days for a severe head and chest infection. After 3 days I'm still seeing signs of infection. I called the dr and was told to wait a week and see how I felt. I am worried that the infection will return with a vengeance because it wasn't completely killed? ## Hello, Carol! How are you? The general rule with antibiotics is that if they are working, you shouldn't see any worsening of the infection after being on it for a full 24 hours and you should start to see improvement after taking it for a full 3 days. Is there any particular sequence in which FAS-3 kit tablets should be taken? Can I start with 2 Secnidazole tablets after dinner and then the next day take one after breakfast and the other before lunch? ## I have started my periods and want to know if I can take "fas 3 kit" tablets. I am on day 5 of 7 of amox tr-k clv 875-125 mg tabs for a uti. After day 2 I am acting as if I am on steroids. Rotor tilled and planted two gardens, planted 4-flats of flowers, 6-rosebushes cut lots of grass. Was not even achy or had sore muscles. Stayed up half the nite camping out. Can't sleep at nite, talk non stop and not very hungry. This was all days 2-5. If it wasn't for the no sleep I'm getting a heck of a lot done. I am suffering from headaches and blurred vision even after completion of linezolid ip 600mg antibiotic tablets that I had taken for 1 month alongside linezolid 300mL shots for 2 weeks after a spinal surgery / epidural due to an abscess & psoas abscess. My course of treatment was completed 3-weeks back but I am still experiencing side effects. How long will it take to recover from these side effects? After 10-days of completion of linezolid ip 600mg tablets, I have been advised to take tryptomer 10mg tablets for 15 days; which caused my side effects to increase. I am on an antibiotic for herpes. The instructions say to take one pill 5 times per day. Do I need to wake up at night to take it? I can only take it during the day between 5 am and 9 pm. ## Hi Patty - Exactly which medication have you been prescribed? To answer your question, no, you should not have to wake up to take a dose unless is specifically says so in the instructions given to you. Otherwise, you can space the 5 doses among the hours that you are awake. So, if you are awake from 5 am to 9 pm, that is 16 hours of being awake. 16 hours / 5 doses = one dose approximately every 3 hours or so. Do the instructions say that it can be taken with or without food? I hope this helps and best wishes!

Our 11 yr old (72 lbs) was prescribed Augmentin for suspected bacterial infection. He developed some of the "rare side effects" which have finally subsided except for the dizziness upon standing/walking. Last dose taken more then 48 hrs ago and still feeling dizzy. I ended up going to the ER because the whole side of my face was swollen , and I was in excruciating pain. When I sAw the doctor, he prescribed me (Clindamycin) 300 mg for my tooth infection. My 11 year old daughter was prescribed chewable Augmentin twice a day for strep throat. Since it upsets her stomach, I can't give her one before school. Can I give her 1 at 3 pm and the other before bed at 9 pm? ## No, that wouldn't a good idea. Since it's an antibiotic, the intent is to keep it regularly spaced out, to keep the levels up in her body long enough for the bacteria to be eradicated. Thus, you'd be leaving too long of a gap, between the 9pm one and the 3pm one going round the clock. As to the nausea, has she tried taking it with food?
