I have a abscess on my gum and the dentist didn't not drain the pus out but they gave me some Amoxicillin instead. I have to go get it pulled my up coming appointment.... So it is safe that the dentist didn't drain it or should I go to the ER to have it done ??? My daughter is 7 yrs old, she is 32kgs in weight. For the past 24hrs she has been getting high temperatures with chills, throat pain, headache and nausea. My baby is suffering from cold and cough, the doctor prescribe cefixime ultraxime to be taken 2 times a day 1mL for 7 days. I forgot what the doctor said and by mistake i gave my son 3 times a cefixime for 1 day only and by the following day i followed what the doctor said. I had strep throat, therefore the docter proscribed me the bactrim ds 800 - 160 , he said take 2 a day , for 10 days and I had to finish them. I've been taking Levaquin for about five days now for a sinus infection and it is not working at all. I took one at 1:00 today. How many hours do I have to wait to switch to a Clindamycin or an Amoxicillin? ## Hi Ann, Sorry to hear about your situation. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Levaquin, Clindamycin or Amoxicillin. That said, I'm of the theoretical opinion that you shouldn't have to wait at all... This finding does not necessarily mean that no interactions exist. However, if in doubt, your best bet would probably be to contact your prescribing doctor and/or local pharmacist just to be on the safe side. Can I take Mucinex along with Tylenol & Amoxicillin / Clavulanate Potassium Tablets, USP 875 mg/125 mg? ## Hi Nancy, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Mucinex, Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Amoxicillin. While this doesn't necessarily mean no interactions exist, I personally haven't had any issues taking these together in the past. However, if in doubt, it may be a good idea to double check with your doctor first. I hope this helps!
