My husband have an abses on his hand. He was prescribe 4 flupen 250 tablets 4 times a day. Is it the right dose? ## He should take the medication as prescribed by his doctor. Hi po, ask ko lang po if it is safe to take myra e 400 iu and at the same time i'll take antibiotics, kasi may sugat and my mom said magtake ako ng antibiotics so ask ko po kung wala po bang hindi bad side effect kung pareho ko sila iinumin? ## is it okay to take an antibiotic while taking myra e 400 iu? ## Is it okay to take antibiotic without meal? I can't swallow this cipro 500mg tab (it's too big). Says not to cut, or chew it. It is a slow release med. Can I just cut it into 2 pieces and then take one half now and the other half 2 hrs later so that I don't get too much at once? Hello, I was diagnosed with pneumonia yesterday and prescribed the Zpack. I took the first dose which is 2 pills together. I found out after this that because I am on Effexor that that antibiotic is not recommended for me to take because it can interact with eachother and can cause heart issues. They are starting me on Augmentin today. Is it safe to take today being that I just took the first dose of the Zpack yesterday? ## It is always best to follow your doctor's prescribing instructions. I am taking Bactrim for a UTI and have side effects of hands shaking, gassy stomach, headache, loss of appetite, and irritability. There are 4 pills left and I am afraid to finish them. Is a substitute for Bactrim DS tablet SMX-TMP DS TAB? The script is 2 tablets twice a day. Hi, I have been in pain for some time now. I went to my dentist a 1 1/2 weeks ago. There is no swelling and no clearly visible reason on the X-rays as to explain why I am in pain. The dentist thinks it could be 1 of 2 teeth that are next to each other but can't be sure. He put me on clindamycin and said if the pain goes away then we know it was a small infection. But if the pain doesn't go away we will have to see what else could be going on. Well, I have been taking the clindamycin for one week today and have 4 more days of pills left but I am still in pain and taking too much ibuprohen. Hi, just wondered if it's safe to take alcohol with "pinamox caps 500mg amoxicillin".. I assumed it wasn't until I looked at the other medicine (a cough bottle) that I was prescribed by the same doctor.. It has ethanol (alcohol) in it. After just one 50mg capsule I developed a massive headache, nausea, diarrohea with blood, nose bleed and just wanted to sleep. After persevering and another 6 capsules I thought I was going to be hospitalized, in all my life I have never been so ill and could no longer function. I spoke to my Dr and she saw me immediately and was wanting me to have a CAT scan, I felt so ill I declined as I was certain it was the drug. I was on this for 10 days, 3xs a day for an eye infection. Have been finished for almost 1 week and was just curious how long it takes to fully leave your system? The morning after I finished I woke up itchy everywhere and still am with no visible hives or anything. Just itchy. How long will this last???? I'm going crazy. ## Did anything help you? No money right now for a dentist and I have a new bottle of doxycyline hyclate in 20 mg form (using for acne) pill says lci on one side and 1336 on the other, small round white. I have a tooth abscess and want to know if I can increase the dosage safely to 100 mg per day to fight the infection? ## @Jason, Based on my research, Doxycycline can be used for a tooth abscess. The usual adult dose for a severe bacterial infection is listed at 100mg orally every 12 hours for 7 to 10 days; (but the 100mg may also be taken once daily as a "maintenance" dose for less severe infections). My only question to you would be do you have enough pills to run a full course of treatment, in order to fully eradicate the infection?
