I have allergies, I take allergy shots. I have a prescription of Keflex 500mg. I was wondering if I can t;ake the Keflex for the sinus infection. ## It is an antibiotic, so it can be used for many types of infections, however, how do you know you have a sinus infection? Also, if the prescription is old, it will not be as effective, you need to see your doctor.

I took a 10 day dose of Ceftin and then broke out in hives and took 6 days of steroids and benadryl and Pepcid for that. Benedryl was making me unable to function so stopped taking it and began taking homeopathic drops for hives. It has been 23 days since the first dose of Ceftin. How long will this take to get out of my system? ## After 23 days, it is already long out of your system. If you still have hives, then I am suspicious that something other than the Ceftin is causing them and you really need to speak to your doctor.

I had some pimples along my hairline, some were pustular others just papules. It began getting flaky and started all over my forehead then on my face for about four months. I went to the dermatologist who took two seconds to look at me and said that he has very bad news for me and that I have chronic eczema. I was devastated as I had flawless skin before. No bloods were done by him or other investigations other than his two second diagnosis. He has put me on Purbac for two months. Almost all of my scalp infection and pimples have disappeared after one month of being on Purbac. Three days ago I noticed a rash on my chest and hands. Is it the antibiotic? Shall i stop it? What should I do. I am so worried as I used to be on magazine covers and never ever had problematic skin. I am 33 years...

I have what seems to be a rash since I started taking it. ## Developed small red spots all over my body. ## There are two possible reasons for this: 1) If it is an itchy rash then it is possibly an allergic reaction to the antibiotic, in which case, you need to see your doctor. 2) If it is not itchy, just red spots, then you are probably suffering a side effect that some people experience from certain antibiotics, called a non-allergic skin rash.

oblong 105 printed ## Sorry, since this is a foreign medication it is not regulated like those in the US and the only thing I have been able to find is that it is listed as an antibiotic. I would suggest asking your doctor or pharmacist for more information. ## I was prescribed Calvepen for a tonsillitis infection while abroad in Ireland. It had the word penicillin was in it's longer medical name located on the bottle. It was given for two weeks, two pills, 3 times a day.

One use is for complex skin infections, upper Respiratory infections etc. Never take without a Dr order, as has cross sensitivity for some people who are allergic to pennicillin. If ordered by MD should take whole perscription, as symtoms may go away before you are really cured. ## I'm usually RX amoxicillin.
