I got severe diarrhea as a result of taking cefixine + dicloxaclin 200 for an infection in my injured toe. Can i take cifran 500 / ciprofloxacin hydrochloride to fix this? ## The operative problem here is that you got diarrhea from an antibiotic, which is a normal side effect and usually goes away within several days of finishing your course of the drug. This means that taking another antibiotic, the Ciprofloxacin that you mentioned, isn't going to clear up the diarrhea, that was caused by the other one, it will only make it worse and prolong it.
