does taking antibiotics while taking methadone lessen the effects of methadone? ## im a chronic pain sufferer stuck in a hospital bed and can barely pivit to the porta pot with 6 or 7 different deseases im on 16 different prescriptions plus infusions monthly my pain management doctor has me on methadone 10 mg 80 mg daily ive been on keflex 2500 mg a day for a ecoli infection that got really bad starting tommorrow i will start a course of macrobid for 7 days 100 mg 3 times a day starting the third day of antibotics my methadone started feeling as if it wasnt working as well at first i thougt it was cause i was so sick now at the 7th day of antibotics i feel like im not taking my pain meds at all will these antibotics make my pain med not work well at all? ## I didn't find any problem...

I found this and am having trouble finding anything like it. It is round and white, thicker and shiner than any normal pills I get. H 48 on the one side and just a line down the other. Thank you. ## This is a combination antibiotic containing Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim (SMX-TMP) 400 mg + 80 mg. (NDC 65862-419 among others). I have a sore breast with clogged duct. I am going to take the antibiotic Doxycycline. I am still breast feeding a 12 month old. There shouldn't be any problems, right? ## Did your doc prescribe it? I'm currently dealing with a severe sinus infection, and traditionally, regular penicillin has always been effective for me. Normally, I take a 500mg dose. I'm considering using Pota-Vi-Kin (penicilina-v) 800,000 IU as an alternative.
