How can u get yeast infection? ## Hello, Candy! How are you? Are you referring to a vaginal yeast infection? If so, as listed by the NIH, there are several possible causes, such as taking tub baths that use a lot of soaps/oils or etc., wearing underwear that isn't cotton and retains too much moisture, remaining in a wet swimsuit for too long, or taking antibiotics. A yeast infection requires an antifungal medication to treat and the side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and spotting. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello, I (adult) was prescribed 875MG tablets of AMOX/CLAV - 1 tablet 2x a day for strep throat over a month ago but I am now better. My daughter who is 7 weighs 45 pounds has strep now and I have about 18 Augmenton pills left over. What is the dosage for her age? She has had to take pills in the past and I was going to break them up for the correct dosage but i'm not sure what that is. Her insurance does not kick in until the 1st of the month so if it possible just to give her my leftover meds it would save me a ton of money that I don't really have. If it is not possible then I would of course take her into the Dr. ## Hello, Beth! How is your daughter? No, it is never a good idea to try to dose a child with something that was prescribed for an adult. She may not even have an i...

I have cellulittes in left ancle and leg is cephalexin 500 mg what I need ## Hi Flonnie, Based on my research Cephalexin is actually regarded as one of the recommended drugs for treating Cellulitis in it's early stages. From what I could gather, the usual adult dose of Cephalexin (in the treatment of Cellulitis), is 500mgs orally every 6 hours, for up to 7-10 days. Depending on how severe each individual case is, other more powerful antibiotics may also be recommended, such as Vancomycin, Daptomycin, or Linezolid. I hope this helps to answer your question! ## cephalexin 500 mg is a green capsule with the number 219 on it. hope this helps

kidney infection ## This is a combo antibiotic, commonly used for those types of infections. Sulfamethoxazole Info Click Here ## I am a spinal cord injury (SCI) and my SCI doctor has had me on this drug for 10 yesrs since my accident. It prevents Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), because I self-cath up to 8 times a day. I have not noticed any side effects other than an occasional yeast infection. Every couple months or so, I will stop taking it for a week or two just to give my system a break and so I do not build up a tolerance to it. However, if I stay off too long, I usually end up getting a UTI which then must be treated by a stronger antibiotic. This sulfa drug is considered a maintenance drug and I take it once a day. I'd be happy to answer any other questions you have. ## Grea...

Hi, I was prescribed clindamycin 300mg for dental abscess and percocet 5-325mg tab, but I can't keep any food down. I was going to drink an extra strength Alka Seltzer to see if it would help with the upset stomach. Is this OK to mix? It is the antacid tabs diluted in 4oz water. Thanks ## Hello, Jen! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between them, but it's always best double check to be sure. Both the antibiotic and the narcotic can cause nausea and vomiting as side effects, you may also experience dizziness, drowsiness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea, as listed by the FDA. The Percocet also carries the risk of being habit forming. Is there anything else I can help with?

is there a picture of the pill so i can see what it looks like please ## how can you find out a pill, if there's no print or numbers on either side? ## Hello, Cathy! How are you? If it is a medication from the U.S. then a tablet that has no markings is an over the counter product of some type and not a prescription medication. Under FDA regulations, all manufactured prescription tablets must have markings to enable their identification. This means that all Penicillin tablets available in the U.S. have markings. Since it is available as a generic, which is manufactured by different companies, I'd be unable to post pictures of all of them for, anyway. Can you post back with a description of the tablet, like size and color? Maybe we can narrow it down from there.

All standard U.S. manufactured medications are required to have markings on them to enable their identification. If you got them outside the U.S. they may very well be Doxycycline, but there's no way to be sure and, if they are from the U.S. and have no markings, they aren't a prescription medication.
