Hey, I am having a horrible bout of tonsillitis with bad ear and throat pain. My doctor initially prescribed amoxicillin 3 days ago but pain still persisted, I went back today and got 50mg prednisone daily for 5 days plus a 10 day course of cephalexin. Is 50mg too much over a 5 day period. With previous bouts I was prescribed 10 mg twice daily for 2-4 days with no side effects. I took my first dose after filling the prescription at around 2 PM and am feeling mild discomfort in my muscles and can't seem to sleep. Is this dose to heavy? The pain in ear and throat have subsided which is great but worried about prednisone side effects. I am in drug court and I came up positive for LSD on a drug screen. I haven't used LSD! I'm taking no prescription drugs whatsoever except over the counter Aleve on a daily basis. I do, however have chronic liver disease that is bad. I told the court and they are sending the urine in for confirmation testing. Will liver disease affect a drug test? Can it make me show up positive for LSD? Also, will the confirmation test safely confirm that I haven't taken it? I'm so upset because I know I haven't taken it! Please help!

I take 2 pills of 100mg quetiapine + 1 pill of citalopram 40mg + 4 tabs of prednisone 10mg + 3 tabs of buspirone 15mg each + 2 tabs of sertraline 100mg each + 8 tabs of hydroxyzine pamoate 25mg each. Will any of my meds cause me to fail a urine drug test?

I am a 30 year old female and in the beginning of March 2013 I got terribly sick with some sort of cold paired with a severe sinus infection. I was prescribed Methylprednisolone 4mg dose pack. I completed that with only minor side effects however it didn't really work and I was back at the doctor a mere week later feeling just as bad. I was then prescribed Prednisone 20mg tablets, taking 3 daily for 5 days. It helped my symptoms and I felt better. However, my last dose was Sunday 3/17/2013 and today is Wednesday 3/20/2013 and I am feeling incredibly strange. I am a senior and have cut my prescription expense and Asacol was one I had discontinued due to the cost. Now I am suffering the consequences of this action. I am hoping for alternative steps to remedy this problem. ## what is asacol used for ## asacol is usually used for ulcerative colitis ## I cannot find any Asacol suppositories in South Africa. I'm on day 5 of a Medrol 4mg 21 pack on day 4 I started having pain in my chest and left arm,days 1-3 I had pain in my legs (tibia/shin area, I was precribed this for an anterior glenoid labrum tear to reduce inflammation but it seems as if being on this has caused me more discomfort. How long does this drug stay in your system and how long does the 21 pack provide relief for? If the original pain doesn't get better after this treatment, my only other option is surgery since a cortisone lidocaine injection and physical therapy isn't helping. ## I've since finished the "pack" and it bought relief for only 4 days upon finishing. Having problems after taking for 3 months I need it for Addison Disease and all the symptoms I had before have returned. Now have terrible headaches ,blurred vision, trouble walking and talking. In any case, many places should allow you to present proof of a prescription prior to the screening; that way you won't be held accountable for a positive or false positive result. Can the prescription Diclofenac Potassium 50 mg, Bactrim (Sulfamethox-TMP) or Amoxicillin with Clavulanate Potassium 875 mg make a drug test come back false positive? ## I tested positive for methamphetamine on a urine test. I don't understand because I've been clean for 11 months. ## What over the counter medications will show up positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine? Can someone take 10 mg of Prednisone then just stop or do you have to taper off? ## Just one tablet likely won't require a taper, but it's also not going to help you much, since that won't give it a chance to have much of a therapeutic effect in the body.
