The implant I had doesn’t need to be linked to anything - I think you are referring to a very sophisticated version. Please see below for my experience of the implant - 17 weeks on and feeling great! Sara

You can't buy Esperal because the most important part of the treatment is maintenance and control. The Implant needs to be linked to the cloud server of the Esperal company and only in this case it works.

I live in the U.K. and travelled to Warsaw last weekend to have the Antabuse (Esperal) implant. It cost me £180 and took about 20 minutes from start to finish. The treatment was totally painless. I got flights for around £200 return and stayed overnight in a beautiful hotel just a 15 minute walk away for £30. My taxis to and from Chopin airport to the hotel/clinic were around £10 each way. Other Polish clinics charge up to £1500 pounds which is a gross exploitation of vulnerable people trying to get well! Five days on my stitches are almost completely dissolved and I'm feeling very positive. I asked the Polish doctor when I would need to go back and he said "hopefully never, when you have made yourself live alcohol free for a year hopefully you will be sober and won't need to come back." Here's hoping!!
