Angeliq Causing Yeast Infections

I am 56 yrs old and have been taking Angeliq for 8 yrs for menopause. I'd like to stop taking the pill because I have been cursed with multiple yeast infections this year. If I stop taking Angeliq will the infections subside? Also I have trouble sleeping? Do I need to taper the pills? I'm worried that it will effect my sleep that I need so desperately due to anxiety issues that I have been fighting for years. Anyone have trouble with either one of these issues?

The most important first step is to have this checked out by your doctor. There is a chance the infections have been due to the Angeliq, but there is also a chance they are unrelated.

And a slow taper is best, suddenly stopping it may cause withdrawal effects, which as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, headache, irritability and dizziness.

Are you on any other medications? Have you been using different soaps or anything?
