I went to the dentist Nov 30 for pain in my back molars. She found I have a gum infection from my gum growing over my teeth. I had my wisdom teeth out 3 years ago and I guess that's how they healed and food gets stuck in the gums. I've been taking the Amoxicillin 3 times a day and the antibacterial mouthwash that was also prescribed. My gum pain almost seems worse today December 3. I feel like it's not working. can i take enhancin 1g once a day only in the morning because my dentist advised me to take 1tablet in the morning and 1tablet in the evening. ## If your dentist has advised you to take it twice daily, then you should do so, otherwise you may not fully eradicate the infection. I have never been allergic to any antibiotics, but my Dr prescribed Betaclav 1000 for my bacterial infection. I've taken 5 already, one in the morning, one at night as instructed. I have a abscess on my gum and the dentist didn't not drain the pus out but they gave me some Amoxicillin instead. I have to go get it pulled my up coming appointment.... So it is safe that the dentist didn't drain it or should I go to the ER to have it done ???
