antibiotic ## all I want to know is the various side effects of biactin. ## Hi, In my experience they include a mettalic taste (this was really strong for me.. I tasted metal all the time unless I was eating), and also rather severe dihoria (sorry poor spelling). Also it didn't cure my sinus infection at all so I got all the side effects without any of the effects. If you are not feeling well I suggest calling and or seeing your doctor again. I wish I had sooner! ## I am on biactin right now. My doctor put me on this because I have severe sinus infections and I have been on Amoxicillin too many times it does not work well. Just as cdp says, I also taste the metal in my mouth. it's so nasty omg lol. It also makes me super nauseous.

My friend in USA has great difficulty swallowing large antibiotic caps; I suggested she asks her doctor to prescribe half the dosage and double the quantity of pills. My friend misunderstood and asked the PHARMACIST who said there are no smaller sized ones. I believe there must be lower doses and she could double the amount of caps. Please help, anybody who knows about USA antibiotics! ## half the dosage of a capsule does not equal to half the size of it. Was prescribed this med (2/day for 7 days) for sinus infection, swollen glands and ear. Took as prescribed and finished. Felt a bit better for a day or two. Still have the ear and gland problem. Was drug not strong enough? ## Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid is an antibiotic, the active ingredients in Augmentin. It was a pretty strong dosage, but it is possible that your doctor didn't prescribe it for a long enough time period to completely clear up the infection or the infection could be resistant to it and you may need to take a different antibiotic.
