That would be very unusual, usually allergic reactions to it are systemic, not localized like that and the normal side effects include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Do you have any environmental allergies? Are you on any other medications? You may want to have it checked out, to be sure of what's going on.

Hello, I was prescribed amoxicillin for my tooth. It is decaying. It's black, but what do you expect? Ha. Anyways I have no signs of infection (I don't think) and by that I mean I don't have any swelling. It hurts (of corse half my tooth is gone), but that's it. She had a very strong accent and I think she said when it starts sweeping just start taking them. The prescription says start taking them ASAP... My family doctor prescribed 4 Amox/K 500-125 Tab to be taken at one time before a dental procedure because of my heart problems. Is this safe to take 4 pills at one time. ## Hi Lois, According to the drug monograph for that 500mg tab, the dosing indications are listed at 1 tablet every 8 hours for 7-10 days. However, on the stronger version of this medication, the maximum recommended dose is listed at 1 tablet of Amoxicillin (875mg) + clavulanic acid (125mg) every 12 hours for 7 - 10 days. Based on that, it sounds to me like you took a few too many at one time. If you start feeling any repercussions from having done that, you may want to look into getting some probiotics. I have a white or cream colored oblong pill and it is a fairly large pill. It is scored in the middle and on the left it has 93 and on the right it has 2264. I also have a white round pill with a fancy V on one side, and 2355 on the other side. My dogs eye became infected & healed but when the next day the other eye showed the same symptoms only worse I put terramicina in his eye to clear it up only to find the next day the eye had clouded over bluish grey! I saw a doctor today for a cat bite. He is starting me on amox clav 875 mg. After reading about it, I'm afraid to start it. I already have chronic diarrhea, and don't know what it will do to me. Can you use Nitrofur-Macr 100 MG to treat a gum infection? I know it is normally used for kidney/bladder infection but it does fight bacteria so am just wondering. Any advice would be appreciated. I've been taking Percocet 10s for a few months now, never more than 4 a day, and have recently been prescribed amoxicillin/clavulin 500/125mg. I'm wondering if there are any harmful interactions between the two? I've stopped the Percocet for a little over 24hrs and am now noticing a slight pain in the upper right side of my stomach. ## Hello, Jaye! How are you? And it depends on your health, there are some medical conditions that require you to take it, before dental work, to prevent possible infection. And if the tooth is already infected and hurting, you my need to take it for a few days, because if you don't, then they will not be able to properly numb the area to extract the tooth. I've had that happen and I can assure you that it is pain you don't want to feel.
