Amneal Pharmaceuticals Hydrocodone 10-325 (Page 5) (Top voted first)

I have been taking hydrocodone 10-325 (made by Watson) for about a year. I picked up my prescription yesterday and instead of the normal yellow pill, I received a white oblong pill imprinted with m367 on it. I took 2 for breakthrough pain and had no relief what-so-ever. I called the pharmacy and was told that they will no longer be able to get the med from Watson. Does anyone know what has happened? I have chronic pain, and these white ones from Amneal Pharmaceuticals is not going to cut it. Has anyone else experienced this?

I totally agree! It’s so maddening that those of us in the same situation as you are have a hard time even getting a doctor to prescribe pain meds. And when they do, it’s a nightmare at the pharmacy. They treat you like you’re an addict and only want the meds to get high. I’ve never experienced a “high” from pain medication, just a minimal amount of relief. Medical professionals should be ashamed of themselves!

Hi! Thanks for sharing! Can you tell me of your bad episode so we can “compare notes…” YES for sure AMNEAL is garbage. CVS has been dispensing this generic brand of AMNEAL’s generic of Percocet 10/325 for month’s now with no substitution’s offered. Their answer is basically ie; “Too bad, you take what we give you!” Basically, “we don’t care; take it or leave it!”
Yes, we all know it’s all about BIG PHARMA profit margins, etc. But I’ve come to realize the fact that legitimate CPP’s (Chronic Pain Patients) are a piece of the government’s depopulation pie.

Qualitest was most likely ordered to reformulate them and the company refused rather than cause suffering to the seniors that have worked so hard to make the country great. I like the 30 million seniors only took these medications to be able to participate in the economy instead of being withdrawn from chronic pain. If we all stop paying our Part D premiums to send a message they will have a round table discussion to bring back the old formula. Good luck everyone, don't get angry it doesn't help anything.

I wish I didn't have to use CVS but my Medicare insurance has given them the monopoly and then force us to go there to get the full discount! It's wrong and the government allows this and Biden went and signed a contract for "CHEAPER DRUGS" and that's why they are getting worse! We get very few choices on Medicare and NAME BRANDS is NOT one of them and it's discrimination we should have a choice! Back when Watson made them they worked and worked in the system for about 8 hours, now they perscribe 2 every 4 to 6 hours cause they know it's garbage!

I just picked up my Norco and noticed the shape was different Walgreens had the Watson then went to ACTAVIS that's when I noticed my medicine was not helping the pain unless I took 1/12 and I have to take it every 3 hours whereas I used to take the Watson's every 4-6 hours and now I looked at my pills I got today and they are a completely different shape and the manufacturer is Amneal from what I am reading I am going to be pain with these. I have very severe osteoarthritis throughout my body, both knees are bad I have Osteopenia in my back plus degenerative disc and joint disease , I can't take any no aids due to a stomach condition.

The exact same thing happened to me on the same date and time as with you, yesterday, 1-5-2018, at Walgreens. I usually got Watson Hydrocodone/apap 10-325 mg. The RX said Norco, etc., as usual, but I got Amneal instead. I called them about it and they said they were using a different warehouse, now, instead for the same co-pay. I'm pissed off!! What pharmacy can I get brand name Watson in Macon, Georgia? There must be some kind of conspiracy going on and they're probably placebos by Big Pharma. That's why people are probably overdosing because of this.

Hello Patti, same side effects here too!! Thought maybe given time, would change but been 11 days now & then I remembered, tried this before, several years ago!!! I have & will again contact amneal about this particular product, as should anyone else, having bad side effects! Always let your doctor know too!! Thx!

Thanks for the reply Lynn. I attempted to contact Amneal by phone for 2days. The phone just rang till it cut off. I was transferred twice by the operator and went to never never land and was given a phone number that didn’t work! I reported it to the FDA and asked the pharmacy to do so as well. I am 1 of 100 people in the course of a week that had similar adverse complaints from the same store for the same medication. I was prescribed Mallinckrodt which is great!

It is best to tell the pharmacist you do not want Amneal before it is filled. Or call the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist if they have other manufacturers besides Amneal before going.

If your Pain Contact states you have to use one pharmacy. Be sure and contact your doctor when you change pharmacies.

Well amneal wants all my info, I mean all! I sent an email back, explaining under HIPPA, they weren't entitled to that info! Wants me to send a pill to them, etc... I told them enough info to get the lot # & NDC # & what pharmacy, date, etc... I will tell you now, they do not care!! So I am changing pharmacies & thank goodness, I have an awesome female PCP! You see, I maintain on a very low dose, yes I am in pain everyday, but I hate taking meds!! It's enough to take the edge off! I am taking supplements that help a lot! I do a lot of research & cross referencing & check with my PCP before I start anything!! In fact, I am going to see if I can get my doctor to send a sample of amneal to do an independent analysis!!! Will keep you posted!

I know. They were jerks to me too! Why send them a pill. It should already be documented! I am thinking about taking a pill to a lab NOT associated with Amneal to get the results. Why send it to them? So they can say its ok? I dont think so! They gave me the same run around. They dont care!! Just like you said!!

Same thing happened to me!! Is this company run out of a garage!? If this company was a professional outfit this should never happen!! I'm taking my pills to be tested elsewhere, not at Amneal. They probably won't do anything! Keep these companies from India in India and their garbage medicine out of this country!! Of course its cheaper for Walgreens to buy!! From the way I feel the 10/325 is a placebo!! It does not make the pain stop!! I have had chronic pain for over 20 years! I know when a medicine doesn't work! I'm getting withdrawal symptoms, not pain relief. Sneezing, itching, major anxiety, bones are aching, diarrhea, chills, upset stomach. It's been hell!

I was in dire straights an hour ago! I know not flu. I took BOT medical in college & am in tune to my body! I also am very sensitive to additives & fillers & dyes. I drank a lot of real lemon juice & am feeling better, my liver was toxic, I don't drink alcohol! I won't point fingers, I will see my doctor asap (tomorrow) on an emergency basis! The only thing different is the amneal product & it made me sick from day two! But I kept taking it, thinking my body would adjust, not!!! I am so sick, my kids told me to go to hospital, that I looked bad!! (sick). This is just my opinion & observation for my body! Always check with a medical professional when starting, stopping, changing meds or taking any otc product

Please keep us posted!! Amneal has made me very sick too!! Keep a pill so it can be analysed but a lab not associated with Amneal. We all need to know! I am very sensitive too and this medicine has made me sick too!!
If people say you should go the hospital you should! Dont take chances!

The pharmacist didn't tell me when they changed to Amneal. I told them I could not take this garbage because of its side effects so I didn't bother to see if I got the correct medicine. I didn't find out until I got home and they won't take it back so I could get the medicine somewhere else! This is so wrong! They need to tell the consumer when they change medicine brands! It should be mandatory!
