ARE THESE TWO DRUGS COMPATABLE? CAN I SWITCH FROM THE 1ST TO LISINOPRIL WITHOUT ANY COMPLICATIONS?

Looking for a cost estimate for Amlodipine for my high blood pressure. I have a prescription.

For the original poster, these are all medications used to treat high blood pressure and some other conditions.

Benazepril is the active ingredient in Lotensin is available coupled with Amlodipine under the trade name Lotrel. This combines a calcium channel blocker with an angotensin inhbitor.

Lisinopril works by relaxing the blood vessels, so your heart does not have to work so hard, to lower your blood pressure.

That said, many doctors commonly swich between these medications, until they find the correct one that helps control your blood pressure.

You should follow their instructions for doing so and if you do experience any problems, contact them immediately. Some people experience problems, some do not.

The price of the medication at any given pharmacy or by mail order, is going to vary depending on dosage, frequency of dosing and whether you are looking for the generic or name brand.

Have you tried calling around to various pharmacies for a price quote?

i am taking 20mg of lisinopril in morning, 20 mg at nite along with 2.5 mg of amlodipine. doc switched me to 1 cap a day of amlodipine10/benzapril 20, will i have any trouble or problems switching to this new med, b p runs 140/80.

For a year,I've been taking lisinopril 10mg,once a day. My Dr changed me to amlodipine 5mg, once a day. U think that's ok

I have been on Amlodipine 5mg for some 2 years. I now suffer from swollen ankles. My doctor suggest I stop Amlodipine and watch my BP. How quickly might this result in a reduction of swollen ankles ?

I ran out of my 20 mg Lisinopril so my wife takes 5mg of norvasc I took two of those last night cannot get to a pharmacy till Tuesday taking two of her blood pressure pills will that be equivalent to the 20mg of Lisinopril

I ran out of Lisinopril-HCTZ 20mg-2.5. Can I take Amlodipine-Benazepril 10-20mg? Will it hurt me?

Is it ok to take lisinopril 20 mg with amlodipine 10 mg in the morning? I used to take my blood pressure medication at night with my cholesterol med, atorvastatin calcium 40 mg, but had problems sleeping and had to get up more often to pee. Should I take one blood pressure med at night and one in the morning? I would ask my doc, but hate to pay to ask a question - no insurance. Thank you.
