Amlodipine with Benazepril combines a calcium channel blocker with an ACE inhibitor to help better control hypertension.

Side effects may include: nausea, headache, stomach pain and dizziness.

However, I really can't give a reason for the price, most medications are expensive and the generic is still less than the half the price of the name brand, Lotrel.
