What is the negative side effect of 5.25mg of Adco Alzam is taken. Is this considered an overdose? And is there a long term side affect to it. What do you do if I suspect my friend took an overdose? ## This contains the active ingredient Alprazolam, which is a Benzodiazepine, it is in effect a depressant/sedative, so yes, someone does have to be careful how much they take. Usually it is only given in a maximum of 3mgs a day, in a time released tablet. However, whether or not 5.25mgs is too much depends on the person taking it and their tolerance to it, some people can handle much larger doses. Hi i just picked up my percription for zanex at a different pharmacy and they have a imprint of 1 1 on it i was wondering if anybody had anything to say about this type of brand. ## Caraco pharmaceuticals does make the generic Xanax (a.k.a Alprazolam). The specific imprint you have listed describes the generic 2 mg tablets. It seems that they only started making this in the past 5 years or so, but I could be wrong. My Dr has prescribed Adco-Alzam to be used occasionally for a stiff neck. Now reading the Iiterature I am questioning this??? ## Adco-Alzam contains the active ingredient Alprazolam, used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. This does appear to be the wrong medication if you are just dealing with a stiff neck and not anxiety. If your stiff neck is in some way related to anxiety or fear in public places or tight spaces, then it can be considered the right medication. You'd have to be the judge of this yourself though. If the stiffness is related to your nerves or muscle tightness, then it would make more sense to have your doctor refer you to an endocrinologist and/or physical therapist to decide on proper treatment. I have administered a Restyl 0.25 [ one tab only] as my mother, who is 88 years old and reovering from a impact fracture and a small crack at pelvic girdle, accompanied by small UTI because of catheter and have RT feed. She is screaming because of pain and even after Restyl it hasn't stopped. Can you guide? ## Restyl is not an analgesic that will help with pain. I found a white oval pill. It has either G249 or 6249 with slashes between each number. I am very concerned that this is a narcotic and it was found in my home.
