I took 0.25 Alprazolam for 15 years and the Doctor took me off of it, and when he did I had Severe Withdrawal symptoms for months after, It was an awful experience, that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. It felt like a slow death was coming over my body everyday and night. So, Warning, do not take this for any length of time, it is super addictive.

Will a long-term use of Alprax 0.25 (one tab daily for about 10 years) have severe side effects. I get very hyper and anxious if I don't take it and get severe headaches too. Suggest any alternative too.

Alprazolam is a Benzodiazepine, it used to treat various medical conditions, such as anxiety, nervous disorders and insomnia.
The side effects can include: nausea, dizziness, irritability and headache.
It is also known to be habit forming, so stopping it abruptly, after long-term use could result in withdrawal symptom and seizures.
