I bought "drixoral" from Canada and it came in a box of 10 pills made by Schering-Plough with the name Disophrol Repetabs on it. I bought them for my husband and he says they work great. ## Did you order them from a pharmacy online or go right to Canada ## Hi Max, Based on my research, Schering-Plough Corporation was actually merged with Merck quite some time ago; I think back in 2009 as one article states. So I don't know if that could've been an older batch of Drixoral (Disophrol Repetabs) your husband received from Canada (prior to the Schering-Plough Merck merger), but none-the-less, it's good to hear that he's is doing well on it. How long has he been taking them for?

its guaifenesin and phenylephrine Guaifenesin is an expectorant. It helps loosen congestion in your chest and throat, making it easier to cough out through your mouth. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that shrinks... no reason to be alarmed! ## I actually tried to look this particular pill up online, but couldn't find anything posted about it anywhere. So thanks for taking a moment to share your finding on that. It's definitely a big help when there's no other way to identify something like that. If anyone else ever comes across a similar pill, I did find that most round tablets starting with a "44 xxx" number sequence are generally common over-the-counter drugs here in the US. Would you also happen to know who manufactures this pill?

It also doesn't needs prescription it is an over the counter drug. But is is more advisable to talk to a doctor to see if u will get an allergy reaction with it.

I have a 4 year old grandson that has been on this for 10 days. No problems till tenth day. Broke out in a rash all over his body. Face (Cheeks) puffy. We gave him Benadryl. I spoke with a pharmacist at Walgreen's. He suggested a Walgreen's brand. It is called Wal*Finate-D. It is a antihistamine/nasal decongestant. I took one an hour ago and it has dried up my nose and the sneezing has stopped. It is not available on the store shelf, you have to get it at the pharmacy. I have been suffering for two years since Drixoral was taken off the shelf. Benedryl did not work nor Alka-Seltzer cold plus. But Wal*Finate-D is amazing and was only around $6.00 for 48 tablets. I just failed a drug test, I tested positive for both amphetamine & methamphetamine. I have had a prescription for adderol 20 mlgrm but have not taken them or had a refill in about 3 weeks before test. A skin rash has developed on my face chest abdomen an arms, should I stop taking this medicine. I'm taking it for strep throat and do not want it to come back. I had an upper respiratory infection in January since that time I have been suffering from allergic rhinitis. I have had a CT scan that reports all is clear. I do not have deviated septum and my ENT says there is no infection. The most recent drug he has proscribed is Dymista. After about 30 minutes after I have sprayed it into each nostril, a thin mucous begins running down the back of my throat. I spend the next four hours hacking to keep it out of my lungs.
