My doctor has tried me on two different antihistamines now, Loratadine and Cetirizine. Both give me cramps. I have no deficiencies and am in health good. Any ideas anyone? Many thanks. I am in the UK. ## According to the NIH, they have been known to cause leg cramps as a side effect, in some people that take them. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness, and headache. How long did you try each one? Such side effects usually go away, after about 5 to 6 weeks, once your body gets used to a medication. ## I was on Cimetidine for almost two years and Loratidine for three months. Enough time to connect them to leg cramps. The Loratidine also caused me to have very vivid dreams and so I rarely felt refreshed int he mornings! ## I was on Cetirizine about two yea...

My fiance used abuterol for years, and I know used it as needed as prescribed by the physician, he used it well more than advised and never once had a false positive. He had severe asthma, was on two types of inhalers, two types of medicine for nebulizer plus oral medication. I know he was tested several times a month, not one positive result. ## If you want to see a false positive result, try using Albuterol (specifically Ventolin) within a 24 Hr period with a professional drug test. The fact that people do raise the question while people have had false positives such as with benzo's like oxzepam and the Dr.'s say there is no record for it to try to make it sound like Albuterol has lesser flaws to it then it does. This does not mean it will not show up as a false positive on a ...

Is histodor cream good for Eczema? ## Both of the active ingredients found in this medication are in a class of medications called antihistamines; which work by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. That said, although Histodor Cream (Diphenhydramine + Mepyramine) may help with some symptoms of Eczema, it may not be the best solution for complete overall treatment. This is because Eczema is not caused by allergies. It is more over due to a hypersensitivity reaction (similar to an allergy) in the skin. The condition tends to get worse when the person is exposed to certain triggers. Most causes of atopic dermatitis (eczema) are treated with medications that are placed directly on the skin or scalp (called topical medicines). A mild cortis...
