Will this medication cause a reaction after long term use. I have developed an itchey red rash that blisters and then scabs over and is affecting my whole body. It started on my forearms and then spread. It has been two months since it started, and is still there. I read somewhere that Dimetapp is contraindicated through g-tubes. ## Do you remember where you read this? I've done several searches, but I am not finding anything that states it is not safe. Actually, I am finding the opposite, resources with instructions on how to give it, how much and how often.

It is a pill. One side is white and one side is a light yellow. the white side has 800 imprinted and the yellow side has Adams imprinted. ## I located a similar match to a oval shaped pill with Adams on the yellow side and 600 on the white side, could this be your pill? If so it's Mucinex DM Extended-Release, which is an expectorant drug sold over the counter and usually taken by mouth to assist the bringing up (expectoration) of phlegm from the airways in acute respiratory tract infections.
