My fiancé took 4 30mg tablets adderall then took 4 more 30mg tablets of adderall less then 1hr later why did he not overdose or die? He will do this like once a week that I know of. Answers please... ## Hello, Raquel! How are you and your fiance? He may be tolerant to them, if he's been taking high doses for a long period of time. However. this is a stimulant that carries the risk of being habit forming and he is risking overdose, since it can cause elevated heart rate and blood pressure, which may lead to a heart attack or stroke. Thus, he should really get help with this problem. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am prescribed adderall 30mg and have been prescribed this medication for over 6 years now for ADHD. This is the first time I got this kind of pill which threw off and I went back in to the pharmacy and asked if they have given me the wrong medication and they said no that it's a generic brand. Actavis is the maker. I searched the Web and found a pic it took me a long time but I did find one. You have to type peach 30mg adderall and search the images and it's there. Concerning your question about intranasal use potentially getting you fired, I don't think anyone else from your work place is going to be suspicious about whether or not you're taking your medication inappropriately, unless of course they know that you're on it and you give them reason to believe that it's affecting the quality of your work. That said, nothing I'm seeing states that intranasal use is quote on quote "against the law", but none-the-less, that type of behavior isn't tolerated in any work place I'm aware of. I currently take 20mg of adderall for my adhd. I recently had my aortic valve replaced with a calf valve. My adderall doesn't seem to have the same effects anymore. Could the valve possibly be the reason? ## It's very doubtful! How long have you been taking this dosage? Your body may just have gotten tolerant to it. Are you on any other medications? ## I have been on this dose for at least 2-3yrs. But it just started to "not work" as well. I am currently on a baby aspirin, and toprol xl. I have seen the same psychiatrist for 5 years and recently moved to Hattiesberg, MS. My family doctor referred me to a new Psych, however when I called to schedule the appt the receptionist said that the doctor does not prescribe adderall or xanax. She told me that when she asked what current meds I take. REALLY....the doctor never even met me or reviewed my medical history. ## Michelle, If the meds are that important to you, ask your doctor to refer someone else. I started adderall. Doctor told me to start with 10mg in morning and 5mg 4 hours later. I did this for a few days and felt absolutely nothing. I was the told to up my morning to 20mg. It also carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, nervousness, insomnia and anorexia. What is your general location? Waste water is purified and reused, but it's been found that prescriptions drugs tend not to be removed by current purification methods, so we end up with them still being in our tap water. The preferred current disposal method is to mix them with some undesirable substance, such as used coffee grounds or dirty kitty litter, place the mess into a sealed container, such as a coffee can and then dispose of it with your regular garbage. Please help! Weird generic adderall filled at CVS today. 20mg tablet This is a HUGE concern for me as I just filled my prescription today (9/8/2014) at CVS and found your post after googling what the difference is as they look completely different as they often do with generics, but I've NEVER seen them look like this nor look so chalky. Need to know if pharmacy will fill my adderall today(30th day) although Dr wrote do not fill prior to 9/7/14. I was given 30 day supply last month and 9/6/14 is 30th day(got them filled 8/8/14 and is counted as day one).I live in TN. My 11 y/o is on Adderall and when I went to CVS the other day, was told they don't have any. I have called two other pharmacies to find out they don't have it either. This happened a couple of years ago and we couldn't get any for weeks. It seems there is no recourse or way around this problem, and it is shocking that no one (Dr, pharmacy, pharmaceuticals) seems to be in touch with this issue of how it affects the patient when all of a sudden they do not have their medication. The body should be weaned slowly and an abrupt discontinuation can really affect the patient. We try to not give him Adderall one or two days over weekends whenever possible, and then store the extra. In our case, we are lucky at this time that we have some back-up! I am on a suboxen program and I take 2.5 a day. I took a 20mg adderal this morning (Saturday) and will take another one to tomorrow (Sunday) I have to have a urine test done Tuesday in the late morning. Will the aderall show up in my urine test. If yes and I don't take the other one tomorrow will the one I just took today show up on urine test Tuesday (note this is the 1st time that I have taken any aderall I'm about a week). Please help I was addicted to vicodine for years and was up to 25 a day (10/325).I don't want to be kicked out of the suboxen program for 1 or 2 adderalls. Additionally, since there is a generic available, there isn't even an assistance program available for the name brand Adderall. The best suggestion I can really make is to price shop the pharmacies in your area to see who has it available for the cheapest price. Another alternative would be to look into some of the free pharmacy discount cards and programs, using one of them if you have a local pharmacy that participates may save you a little money. I took 10mg adderall, 2 days after that i took another 10mg, day after that I took 20mg, and the day after that I took another 20mg (did adderall for 3 days in a row for a total of 50mg consumed). 2 days after that I did 10mg of ritalin. Adderall, or "mixed amphetamine salts combo" is a generic drug put out bt Teva and Shire. The prodrugs, Vyvance, and XL or LA formulas claim better blood levels thoughout the day and QD dosing. Psychiatrists aren't the only ones who prescibe these. AND you DO NOT GROW OUT OF THE CONDITION BECAUSE YOU ARE OLDER. Watch your BP THOUGH. Do not combine other sympathomemetic amine like phentermine, phendimetrazine, or caffeine. Using sedatives to overcome the stimulation is unwise.
