I live in Slidell, LA. I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and took Adderall for several years. I haven't taken it in several years due to lack of insurance. Now that I am employed again I am finding I am struggling without it. I have insurance now but my previous doctor is deceased now and I can't seem to find a doctor in Slidell that is even willing to prescribe it even though my medical records show my history ## Dr Andrew sharp he's in slidell

i want to stop Adderall which i have been taking for 13 years because it has reached a point that it is not good. if i stop depression creeps in at variable times and lengths and very cunningly which i now can sense . is there any other substance that i can take and stop the Adderall? I average 35 to 40 mil. a day and always run short 4 to five days before the 30. it is a roller coaster ride I know very well and also as far as organized and structured, it does not exist as far as i am concerned. ## Hello, Mark! My husband worked at a factory for 22 1/2 yrs. A new company recently took over the drug testing of employees. He has been on Adderall for years and this was known and reported to his supervisor routinely. The company said no problem as long as you have a prescription. When he was drug tested after the new company started testing, a nurse said this was not possible and he was terminated. I have read several articles and talked to several people that say this is very possible. My problem is I need facts in writing stating this is very common. Hello all, I was diagnosed with add back in 2005. My doctor at the time gave me a prescription for welbutrin(spellings probably wrong), which I don't recall it working. I never got it refilled and never went back to get something different. I started a new job last August and kept making mistakes left and right, so I went back to the doctor, a different one, to get something different. Well she put me back on the welbutrin for a month with no results. I am experiencing hair loss. What can be done about this?? also sometimes feel spacy, and have impaired vision. anything I can do to counter the effects? ## im not sure about the hair loss, i am on adderall as well, and noticed my hair thining.... could be my genes. but when you feel your self spacing try to focus and stay attentive.... I have had a perscription for adderall in the past and it worked very well. I have been off it for a while and would like to get back on it. I feel that doctors would be apprehensive about this "story" and think that I am drug seeking. well, I guess I am because i found something that worked and now I am looking to get back on it and I am on a different side of the country. any advice to get a pescription besides just over act all the symptoms hoping the dr gives me what I know has worked in the past?

How long does a half of a 20 mg Adderall take to get out of your system and urine ? ## Adderall has a half life of about 12 hours so if you took 10 mg, 12 hours later you'd have about 5 mg in your system, 12 hours later you'd have about 2.5...etc. You could be clean in as little as a day depending on your body. I'd say no more than 48 hours.

I am on adderall 20mg 4 times a,day for ADD and fatigue...adderall is generic and ir was curios if I ask shrink for an increase to 30mg 4 times a day or stick at 20 mg and add in ritalin 10mg xr 2 times a day sometimes I am falling asleep around 4pm and can't take an adderall or it will throw it all off in how many I have. ## Hello, Dave! I've been prescribed 10mg Adderral twice a day for adult ADD/ADHD. This is the 1st time I've ever taken any kind of medication like this. When I take my 1st does, 9am, I feel like I just chugged a cup of coffee. I feel wired and almost unable to focus at all because I'm too hyper. It subsides in about an hour and I can feel the medication wearing off some. I take my 2nd dose around noon or 1am. Again, it gets me a little wired but wears off some later... My questions are: 1. Does the initial hyped up feeling calm down after taking the meds for an extended time, as directed? I've only been taking it for 7 days now. 2. I took one adderall 10 mg XR about a month and a half ago. I just had a hair test yesterday and was wondering if that little amount of adderall will show up? ## A Hair Drug Test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample will go back 90 days. Adderall won't show up in the screen process because of the method used but could show up as an Amphetamine if it was sent straight to confirmation but that rarely happens. For the most part I think you would be negative on a hair drug test.

Hello. I was recently diagnosed with ADD and prescribed the generic form of adderall XR 20 mg. It works in very short spurts of time and I feel as if I have no control over the medication when I need to come down. I cannot keep staying up until 3 in the morning with 2 babies to take care of. I've read online that the instant release works better for people like me in terms of control. Should I switch? I am looking for a dr in Birmingham Alabama who readily prescribes adderall to treat add. I dont drive & have to ask family or friends to take me places, so i cant go to several drs until i find one that does prescribe it. Adderall is the only med of that kind that works for me. I'm not really liking this prescription. ## I personally have suffered from severe ADHD since i was a child.. they had tried me on many different medications for it, which hadn't helped. However Adderall is by far the best medication that I have taken. My attention span has expanded, I am able to perform the tasks that I need to do without getting sidetracked and whatnot. Hi, yesterday I was very depressed and I took roughly about 400mg adderall ir within a one hour period.
