Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 68) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?
Re: Sikntired (# 1197)
The generic for adderall is amphetamine tablets.
Re: Karen (# 1251)
Different generics are absorbed in the body differently. This can affect how it works in individuals. What you received was not a sugar pill. Although I understand why you think that

Re: Soontobeadoctor (# 1261)
When I found a certain generic manufacturer that worked best for me my doctor was able to write the script to only be filled with that one.
I think I read online that someone confirmed TEVA got bought out by LANETT
Re: John (# 1270)
Teva is not bought by Lannett. I've never seen more inaccuracies, propaganda and ignorant hearsay on a thread.
Re: Rcma (# 1352)
This sounds literally so creepy.....
You should not being using adderall to try to feel high and you do everyone who actually needs the medicine a horrific disservice.
Re: Red1080 (# 1358)
The rub is that correlation doesn't imply causation. Two things are happening in tandem, but there isn't necessarily causal relationship. But maybe there is. It's unknown.... circumstantial evidence isn't empirical. A causal relationship between Adderall and slow wound healing is a hypothesis....but it needs to be tested. What other meds are taken.... Are you sleeping less.... eating a nutrient dense diet? Have high blood pressure or diabetes? So many variables in a human life. Urban myths arise when people assume causal a relationship when one doesn't exist. People go to prison on unproven circumstantial evidence.
Re: 1984Again (# 1367)
1984Again The Post employs familiar propaganda and misinformation techniques by inserting a handful of truths between a massive dump of speculation and conspiracy theories. Yes the book is excellent. Yes overseas generic manufacturing companies especially in India have received many FDA warnings and to date are not sufficiently penalized or closely monitored. Yes on the SCOTUS case but the decision wasn't AT ALL as reductive as described (there was no "defect" found in the Generic manufacturing, so the onus was on the Brand name formulation Biotech. Example, if a copycat nasal spray or ibuprofen is found flawless in it's manufacturing, the "harm" falls to the originator of the formulation, or prescriber). Occam's Razor doesn't say that the most obvious conclusion is that the biotech is intentionally broken. That's just plain false, unless you're paranoid. Claiming a black market seller is more motivated for quality control is absurd. Personally, I think the ADHD meds market is likely a disaster of under regulation, corruption and there are few generic brands I will even put in my body. Many people experience huge variations in standardization and efficacy. But the explanations given are a hypothesis that needs to be proven. Until then it's just 1st Amendment opinion. Yes the industry seems broken. No, nobody has provided all the evidence sufficient to prove criminal malpractice,. negligence etc. I'd love a Senate committee with an FDA Inspector General to get into it; the DOJ; a state AG; a few class action suits. But nothing except theories.....
Is it possible that the hunger could be due to it being "that time of the month"? I usually don't get this hungry in general but the last week I have been insane with hunger and today I got my friend. Normally I don't get ome but every so often I will. I really hope that is what is causing the hunger bc no matter how much I eat I am still starving.
Sir/Madam:
This forum is for the sharing of useful
facts and information and done so by doing our best to keep "the message" relevant to chatting about our own personal experience with medications, in this case, Adderall, and details about their Adderall experience.
How about the next time you say something, try to work in more relevant Adderall information, and less complaining and arguing with pharmacies.
Have some respect for what all of us are trying to do here: share useful information & experiences with Adderall.
Google Translate (may not be 100% accurate):
For my experience, amphetamine derivatives; at least most of them, should be ingested after the 'afternoon snack' or early evening. No food, preferably, or a few hours after. Even for a 'short time', they seem to 'wash the mind' from the inside; provided it does not have 'cognitive stress' commitments, overnight or the next day. It seems, at times, to act on some part of the brain, in a manner similar to 'antibiotics'. Taking a 'short time' initially seems to activate 'working as a normal person', to the point of making it easier to leave them after certain important 'resolutions' such as work, study, personal organization, etc. . It occurs when, for a variety of reasons, we find it very difficult to perform simple tasks such as 'sending curricula, going to the dentist' even with inflamed teeth, programming something useful, and not working with 'other medications' such as clonazepam , and other benzodiazepines, for these indications, even associated with other 'classes of medicines', I think that for 'certain organisms', prescription may be useful provided that the person does not have 'serious problems' of the heart, seizures, etc. For some people, it can even aggravate, but nothing that can be called 'irreversible'. Already other people do not feel better, and also 'go bad', after ingesting such 'principle-assets'. In this case, I do not think it is recommendable.
Re: GaslightingTheMusical (# 896)
The problem with this type of “Conspiracy
Theory” that generic companies are actually compromising their own product is not a viable or very rational theory....and here is why
I will first say that...although God knows the
FDA is not perfect, there are some highly ethical and reputable scientists working there
Although these generic companies, which it needs to be understood that although they have labs here in the United States, where they produce the product for the FDA to evaluate in the initial stage to allow them to produce the product, they eventually produce the product in Third World countries
The FDA simply does not have the manpower to investigate every single plant in these third world countries, let alone every single generic drug they manufacture in these third world plants, for bioequivalency
However, generic companies, especially the big ones that manufacture generic Adderall, would not be stupid enough to place products or ingredients into the formula that would be anti-Delachal
However, generic companies, especially the big ones that manufacture generic Adderall, would not be stupid enough to place products (or ingredients) into their formulas that would be antithetical to drug’s purpose because if this was discovered by the FDA in “random quality inspections” which means that the plant is not aware the FDA will be investigating them…
Neither the date nor the time
If these generic companies were so stupid as to compromise the bioequivalency or the ingredients of their product, the FDA would demand the generic firm not only
“cease and desist” production of THAT
product...but the FDA would also complete
something, that at the surface, would not seem to be very deleterious to the firm...
and that is
Sending them a Official FDA Warning Letter
You would think… It is just a letter…
But in the kaleidoscopic world of the pharmaceutical industry specifically as it relates to pharmacies, these letters are essentially “Death Letters” to the generic
company
Thus, I understand that mini generic companies probably try actually not to be by equivalent to obviously save money, but they also are not stupid enough to take “risks”
Because they know, quite keenly, that
“a risk” simply isn’t worth it
Most of these generic companies are publicly traded on the New York stock exchange.
For example, if it was Found that a generic company was actually placing ingredients into the drug (that have no purpose other than to stop addiction or other conspiracies that have been mentioned on this board)
If this was found, the setback, in terms of the “warning letter” and other swift actions would absolutely destroy their bottom line.....
so much, that even though THEY ARE stupid, they really aren’t -that- stupid...
Re: Hi (# 1103)
Lookup "sovereign immunity". If someone was seriously injured or died from a drug. A suit against the manufacturer might be in order. But that is not the case here.
A drug not working like you think it should work is not grounds for a suit. There are rules for maximum and minimum active ingredients. But even if you proved with a expert the active ingredients were below minimum. That is not grounds for a suit. I do understand why you think it should be.
It is common for a drug to lose it's effectiveness after years of taking it.
Re: Grace (# 1289)
Just a heads up. Teva Adderall is actually the original Adderall from Vyvanse. Vyvanse is the original manufacturer. Started selling it as a generic with Barr and then Teva. So it’s actually the original brand name medication. Never had a problem with it. But I do when I switch to other manufacturers.
Having issues getting it this month. CVS can’t get it even with special order. They gave up trying. Could not get it from Teva.
Has anyone heard of there being anything affecting its availability or having trouble getting it?
Re: Sikntired (# 1301)
LOL ROTF!
THIS IS THE MOST ADD THREAD EVER. NOBODY SEEMS TO BE PAYING ATTENTION.
blessedlady never said Vyvanse was available in generic. Read her post. It was correct. She was simply saying what the active ingredient was. That's it. So you're assumption was incorrect.
This all started because someone said Adderall was made by a company called Vyvanse, which is absurd. No such "manufacturer". exists.
This entire thread should be deleted. .it's a disaster. Imo.
Re: Dora (# 1312)
what many do not realize is that a generic can be and i forgot the actual range but if i remember correctly it was up to 10% more active ingredient and up to 15% less active ingredient from the actual brand name. there is a range that generics can be off from the brand name. then on top of that range factor in the inactive ingredients can have different reactions with the active ingredients and you have a recipe for a wide range of effects.
If your ndc number at the end of your Teva brand adderall is 02 then it’s generic, if it’s 01 it’s the name brand adderall. The exact same as it always was.
Re: Red1080 (# 1363)
Sorry to have to ask this but how in God’s name can anyone feel high from Adderall?
People with substance abuse problems will abuse anything you give them. I have witnessed with my own two eyes people trying to abuse Haldol! They would cheek the pills (pretend to take them) and then take 4 doses all at the same time!
Haldol is considered unabusable; getting people to take Haldol is nearly impossible. Some people abuse anything; they have defects of character not ADD. ^[1]
The funny thing is that most psychiatrists will give you as much Haldol as you can possibly handle - the drug abusers feel a need to lie about their needs and consumption. The "high" you speak of is most likely due to "the process of procurement". It is like shoplifting (they call it boosting).
Yes. if it does not apply let it fly.
