Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 60)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

Contact your insurance company and tell them also. If insurance companies refuse to pay for bad products, things will change.

I have been thinking of looking for an attorney willing to do a class action lawsuit against the manufacturers and the US government for allowing a cut in the active ingredient.

Personally, I wish our prescriptions were all manufactured here & not a foriegn country.

I’ve been taking Adderall for 16 years. Adderall IR 30mg by Teva sucks. It feels like I took 5mg. Very tired. Usually you can feel when it kicks in. I keep the bottle by my bed, take one, and wake up with energy 20 minutes later. I got Lannett before this - which, unlike other people, I liked! Seems like it gave more physical energy rather than pure mental focus. I got a lot of cleaning done.

The only other generic I’ve ever had a problem with is Northstar, AKA Aurobindo or Aurolife. Made me angry and depressed. That’s the whole reason I switched to Walgreens, because Albertsons/Safeway and CVS seemed to only carry Aurobindo. It’s the worst generic. With this Teva I just don’t feel much of anything.

So true. Since 2018 teva is getting weaker and weaker I’m legitimately sick from it. It used to be insanity strong 30mg IR like crazy euphoria / Superman strong. Generics can have up to a 20% difference is efficacy they can be as low as 80% effective or over like 120% effective, thanks to the FDA!

The teva Adderall at in 2016 was definitely over the 100% that’s why so many generics are weaker because of so many ppl were getting hooked. So to prevent a crisis like the opioid one, the generic companies are sticking to life safe side by making less potent adderall. My guess is so they don’t get sued like the rest of the pharmaceutical companies for OxyContin. I know 99% that If I had the Teva adderall tested from 2016 it would be at least 110%-120% No doubt. Sandoz is only safe and I mean it I thought Teva might have got better so I got a script from them February 22- 2022 and I am so sick and it actually got worse. Screw this for real. Focalin IR from KVK 2x a day is the 2nd best in my opinion no joke! I’m having my doc start me on it now because I can’t get new adderall for another couple weeks, say you want to try it. Good luck…

Teva recalled over 200,000 bottles of Adderall in 2020 because “some bottles may contain mixed strengths of the product”… The recall #’s were was D-1286-2020 and D-1285-2020. This can be found on the FDA website. Additionally, their Irvine CA plant was shut down last October for sterility concerns from mold.

Not if you're ADD or ADHD and the medication is manufactured properly. I was diagnosed ADD over 30 yrs ago. In that time I have only taken two different CNS meds. Ritalin when I was young & the same dosage of Adderall for the past 16 yrs. The past 4-5 yrs there have been significant alterations to Adderall IR. The efficiency & therapeutic properties of TEVA varies so much from month to month that it actually gives different side effects every refill. All of which are horrible. I have a friend of 30+ years who's been prescribed 30mg IR 2 x daily. He failed a urinalysis because the Adderall did NOT show up in his system at all. Nothing. This is happening to thousands of people every month. In all these years I have never experienced anxiety, mind racing while completely lethargic, on edge, irritable, depressed & zero productivity until the past few years. Each month is refill roulette. If you're lucky...you end up with the best of the worst. FDA isn't going to take any action. It's all about $$ and rest assured TEVA is lining their pockets nicely. Have you ever wondered what makes generic drugs cheaper than brand-name drugs? The problem begins with the FDA, big Pharma & a corrupt Gov't.

I am narcoleptic. I have been taking up to 40mg of adderall, using 20mg pills for daytime sleepiness disorder for almost 9 years now. This month is the first time I've had trouble filling my script due to shortage. My pharmacist was out for about a week before she was able to fill my 3 month/180 count supply. This is the first time the pills feel like they are bunk. I have been sluggish, stuck in my head, and extremely tired. So much so it made me research the generics because I could clearly see my new script is a much brighter peach. I am having much different results than I'm reading from most. It seems as though, through the years I have been using Lannet with wonderful results. This new script is TEVA and it's awful!!! I was scared to drive home tonight even after taking 10mg more than usual!!

I am very surprised that everyone in this thread seems to be s**ing on Teva. I have been on more forums, review sites, etc. than I can remember and everyone I have heard only has good things to say about Teva's Adderall, whereas the meds produced by Alvogen have been absolutely horrible (myself included). I have received Alvogen's pills (A79) in my most recent refill and it feels like I am taking a placebo and this is something A LOT of people have been saying. I thought I was building up resistance to my current dosage (20mg IR) before I knew that there were different companies producing generic substitutes for Adderall. Also, it is an important point to note that Teva Pharmaceuticals is the owner of the Adderall brand, so I find it more trustworthy.

All of this being said, I have had an almost excruciating experience with Alvogen's pills and, I can't stress this enough, I'm fairly certain that those pills are responsible for my current state of borderline depression.

So very true! The sad thing is the FDA is not going to do anything about it. They continue to allow these big Pharma's to mess with people's minds and well being. I'm going to have a lab test my pills however to see what is in them....if I had to guess, a lot of fillers!

Teva being bad is a new problem. The last SIX reviews from your link say that Teva is bad! Sort them by most recent. The other Quora link is from early last year. I have taken it myself off and on for 20 years, and Teva used to be good. I only started noticing a decline in quality two months ago. They replaced my usual generic with Teva then. So a lot of people are scratching their heads at how the same brand that everyone’s trusted for so long is bad now.

Also there is no “owner of the Adderall brand” when it comes to instant release. The only authorized generic for Adderall I’m aware of is Prasco.

Teva being bad is definitely not a new problem. You can't discredit what thousands of people across the US have been reporting for the past few years because it has worked for you personally. I've taken ADD meds for over 25 years & generic Adderall IR 20mg same dosage for 14 years. I started having problems with it about 3 yrs ago. The efficiency varies batch to batch. Fluctuates between bad to worse.

Glad I found this thread. I had a bad batch of Teva around 2007, since then it was good until this month when I got it again. I wonder why it fluctuates?? You think you can trust a brand then this happens. Someone told me they think quality is bad lately because with COVID the FDA postponed factory inspections? Anyway does anyone know how I can bring this up with the pharmacy the next time I pick up my RX without sounding drug seeking. Just to say, can I switch back to the generic I was getting before this? Ugh I don’t wanna get treated poorly just for asking but I really hate this Teva a lot!! I tried calling another pharmacy Over the phone to see if they had a certain manufacturer and they wouldn’t confirm

There is not a "brand" name for generic Adderall IR nor is there a particular mfg. specified as such. If I'm not mistaken, a few years back Teva bought the rights from Shire to become the mfgr, distributor & "wear the crown" as the producers of "brand" name for Adderall XR. It did not apply to the IR version though. The "brand name" of the extended release was & remains to be Adderall XR unless something has changed since I last researched it. There are too many mfgrs to count that are producing IR. It doesn't matter who at this point because all generics are far past the 20% difference in efficiency that is supposedly allowed.

So, Lannett projected much less Adderall sales in their 2022 Q2 earnings call. Maybe this is why I got Teva instead of Lannett last month. Let’s hope Walgreens doesn’t only carry Teva now; and that if they have the new Ascent/Camber it’s better than Teva..

I’ve had the same issues with the Brand version of Adderall from Teva. This is BS! I paid almost $300 for a month supply because the generics were so bad. Turns out, the Brand version is s****y too. Anxious, unfocused, depressed, nauseous and tired.
