Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 58) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

In other words, you are not "beating the system" (set up by the greedy manufacturers of the generics) that is set up, but it is (instead) beating you...into purchasing a brand name. I suppose if your insurance covers the price, it is a no brainer, but when you have to cover the price yourself, it becomes an issue. I think most people are using the generics because their insurance simply will not cover the brand name (isn't that wonderful), and that they already knew and/or tried to get the brand name but it was exorbitantly priced and out of their reach.
Re: Linds (# 676)
Yes! The pharmacy rips you off, cause they charge you for brand!
Re: CRWTRL (# 627)
Can I ask what the fatal culprit was you are dealing with that negated the effects of your adderall? What about mydayis apart from heart burn made it different than normal brand xr?
Re: Jesse (# 680)
I was on auro IR and I went onto Sandoz XR the month I needed to fill a different script because of the fake bottle of TEVA I was given. I can’t compare to auro XR because I wasn’t on it, but Sandoz XR is legit, and I didn’t have any side-effects with it. The first day surprised me though, just the difference between XR and IR. I prefer the flexibility I have with IR.
Here it is, 2018, and TEVA's version of Adderall is still being complained about. I'm on 20 mg IR, 3x/day. I had been getting my prescriptions filled at a Walmart, but 5 days ago, I got a new script, and Walmart's pharmacy was about to close, so I took it to Walgreens instead. Got the medicine, went home, noticed it was a different manufacturer, took it anyway. The following day, I woke up with painful, red, swollen, pus-filled welts all over my face, breasts, and upper legs. I also noticed that my anxiety was through the roof, AND I was struggling to stay awake (I take this for Narcolepsy). Next day, had welts so painful on my tongue that I had to chew ice all day in order to stay sane, and more welts were appearing, plus I had a fever. Today, I contacted my pharmacy and my doctor to see what my options were; my sleep specialist is now demanding that I stop taking this TEVA medicine, and has me coming in to see her tomorrow because she's worried about my symptoms being similar to SJS. (I'm sure I'm fine--I just am not cool with this brand of medicine, and want to go back to whatever manufacturer my local Walmart uses.) So yeah, this experience has taught me to stay FAR, FAR away from TEVA's brand of ANY medication.

I have excellent results with Aurobindo 10mg IR. Maybe try them again?

Report it to your pharmacist and doctor. If your medication isn’t working, your doctor needs to work with you to get onto something temporary that will. I was in withdrawals for a week and a half until my doctor wrote me a new script for something else to hold me over until I could go back to my usual.
Re: sarah ada (# 8)
I think the window is less than 20%. It is 10% above the mark or 10% below. Also the base stuff that makes up most of the pill can be very different in one company vs another company.
Re: KIm (# 40)
38 out of 40 people COMPLETELY disagree with you; #34 and #40 (you). The consensus is quite clear among actual patients.

Hi Ashley. When I go to the link provided, what would be my next step? I would sincerely like to make my voice heard!!
Re: Connie (# 764)
You’d click the button for Consumer/Patient and file a report. :)
This is the same form that made the FDA investigate Wellbutrin XR and just a step to bring notice to this. It’s going to take time and voices for this to happen. The below information provided is good as well.
By the way, I do take Adderall for Narcolepsy. There are many that do, since it’s FDA approved for Narcolepsy. I’m still seeing reports from other patients on Adderall IR from TEVA that they aren’t working compared to other brands.
For those looking for a good substitute in the mean time, Adderall XR is manufactured by a different company. TEVA doesn’t manufacture Dextroamphetamine as well, which is the main ingredient in Adderall. If you’re clutching at straws, ask your doctor about those options. I’ve also heard excellent things about Vyvanse.
Re: Worldisfull (# 770)
I'm more than just educated, I'm experienced. I've taken every single generic that is out there. Other than Aurobindo having a slightly amplified side effect profile due to my allergies to a dye in their 20mg formulation, all Adderall generics have been equally effective in my experience.
Re: Linds (# 774)
That's okay, every seeks happiness in one way or other. I choose prayer myself. You might want to try something other than Adderall, because that's a rough road to chase euphoria down.
Re: Worldisfull (# 780)
I feel like you lack the ability to read. While Karen and yourself are clearly looking to get a fix and chase euphoria, I have been safely using Adderall at 5-10mg once a day for many years. Yes, turn to prayer, it's far more satisfying than the drugs you are wanting to abuse.

You're right, this is Medschat. Not junkiechat. Congratulations, you know how to use a thesaurus. Your grammar is still, however, laughable.
What is the brand that you stated does work for you?
Re: Kimmy (# 777)
How does Mydais compare to Teva or other Adderall IR generics?
Re: Worldisfullofidiots (# 784)
People like you are exactly why this world is falling apart. Stop trolling and go do something constructive with your life!
Re: James (# 786)
If I had the option of continuing on a stable generic Adderall IR I would prefer it, only because Mydayis Isn’t on demand, it’s all or nothing. Most days that’s ok, but on the weekend when I had breaks from work I’d find that I took less Adderall or none at all. Now if I don’t take the Mydayis daily, I find myself not being able to do much the days I’ve tried to skip the dose. At least with the IR I could control the number of hours it was effective (when it was effective!). Overall I’d still rather have a drug that works and deal with all or nothing than to struggle taking the generic Adderall IR.

Does one have to be religious to pray?just asking.
