Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 32)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

Not bad. Somewhat weak. No real side effects.

Although they seem weak, still have decent ADD control.

Try them. What's to lose?

I’m so glad I found this! I thought it was just me. I’ve been depressed out of nowhere, high anxiety, medicine stops working after about 2 hours and always hungry.

I'm sorry for the late reply, yes what we have been experiencing is true. Hell... When I tell you 7 months...it felt like 7 years of worrying I was soon to find out the culprit of my problems was something fatal at the age of 36. I have been to the doctor more in 7 months than I have in 7 years and I think I've had more blood work done than I didn't when I was pregnant!

Just to update: I took the brand until I got the Mydayis approved but holy mother!!! I ate more Tums, Zantac, and Imodium than I did food! So it's back to the brand... And yes, it's expensive for 60 pills but it averages to $11 a day and it's well worth it!

I hope to soon read on this discussion thread that the nightmare is finally over for everyone!

I filled my usual generic adderall IR 20 mgs made by TEVA at the same pharmacy I always use.Right away I noticed the bottle said DEXTROAMP-AMPHETAMIN typically it says MIXED AMPHETAMINE SALTS.The tabs look pretty much identical but maybe slightly larger and harder to break. After first dose I immediately felt something was wrong I felt, foggy, very anxious, heart palpitations,blurry vision, neck, jaw and shoulder pain with no ADHD relief. Typically I would feel calm and focused.I believe TEVA changed the formula or the quality of ingredients were lowered. When the bottle was TEVA/BARR I didnt experience these issues, the best way to describe the feeling is dirty. It felt like a dirty drug and the effects for me were some what like Vyvanse which I did not do well on. I hope they get enough reports to correct whatever went wrong I dont know what other generic to go with but I know the pink ones from CVS are terrible.

I believe lots of these companies are changing the ingredients of the medicines we take and they are making them less effective. There has got to be a way to get this monitored! Ive noticed 2 different medicines I am taking are not effective!! This is do wrong!!

Has anyone else gained weight with this generic?

Ever since Teva became the only brand I have access to, I have gained 20lbs in the last year. I am hungry all of the time.

I agree because suddenly my tolerance is higher too. I have to take a higher dose when the week before for a year I was only taking 40mgs per day. Now 60 mgs barely works there is no way I built that much tolerance overnight.

I thought I was the only one that has gained weight and always hungry. I am on 20mg instant 4x a day I started taking this 20 yr ago and remember being on 30 once a day and working beautifully. In the last 6 years its changed and so has my dosing. Something has to be done. This is so unproductive. What's the point.

....And you just watch...within the next few months your Teva will work well, again. Then, a few months later, after they have you thinking that they have fixed the problem (but doubting your experience and/or yourself) and that no one is paying attention anymore...BAM, they will once again go back to making it suck, again. I noticed this pattern several years back with this company (TEVA).

Isn't that the pattern that the street dealers, use? "Cutting" their drugs? Reducing its effectiveness, creating more drug to sell by adding filler, and profiting further from the sale of their crappy drug. Never giving refunds for their defective drugs. Must have taken it right from the dealer's handbook... Except, Teva bribes government officials to get drug approvals. Look it up.

They were struck with a hefty fine for bribing those officials. Maybe that is why they are "cutting" all of their drugs....to reap more profit, so they can pay those fines. Lack of integrity seems to be pervasive throughout this company. "Stealing from Peter (the consumer) to pay Paul (the bribes and fines)". Teva...get lost.

I have come to conclusion after 3 refills Mylan is now best...at least for me. 30 mg pretty darn good.

Something Needs To Change. Most All Meds Do Not Work.Where Are These Meds Coming From? The Pharmacys All Carry The Same Brands, They Said Its All They Could Get. The State along With The Government Want To Take A Lot Away From People That Needs Them,Only Thing Is They Dont Work. So Whats A Person In Pain Or Very Sick Going To Do??? Drs Have Stopped Giving Meds The PPL Need Because Of All Of This.. I get mine at Oakdell Pharmacy in San Antonio. They are not a major chain and are great...

I do not know of any other pharmacy in SA other than Oakdell that carry Mylan. It's all Aurobindo and Teva...yuck, aargh!
