I took adderall 30mg XR once in june and will take one more in sept (just one time in sept). It helps me focus when i take practice exams for my career (exam days are about 8 hours). I have read that after 5 days it will be pretty much gone - is this true? Will the quantity i have taken show up on a hair drug test? Will the small amount i have taken show up on a drug test (urine) if i have waited 5 or more days after taking it to take the urine test?

I passed prolly 5 drug tests on Adderall over a two year period not everyday but pretty regularly eventually failed the six tho but I def is hard to detect

Excuse me, u are wrong and giving wrong advice to people. I took one third of an adderall and tested positive at my pain appt. It has to show 100 and mine was 250 which he said was a small amt but it did show up.

I take adderall for my adhd. I am prescribed 10mg 3 times daily. I don't always take the exact dosage, sometimes more sometimes less, but I always take it on the morning ofor my Dr appt because I know they will drug test me. Adderall NEVER shows up in my original urinalysis test. They always have to send away for a more thorough test. It's so frustrating! I am thirty years old and every time I go in for a med check I feel like I am accused of being a drug dealer. I don't know why it is not showing up. I would really prefer not to pay for 2 drug tests every four months! Any suggestions?

you must have a prescription for adderall because unless the drug test you have done must not check you for amphetamines. Adderall is amphetamines so you must have a script and if you do then they don't report anything if you have it legal.

I'm going to my liver dr in 5 days. I've only taken 4-20mg of adderall, one a day for 4 days. They're not suppose to be in my system so my question is if i dont take any more will my urine test be ok? Please help. {edited for privacy}. Thank you.

You are not the only one! I take between 35-45 mg a day of the IR and just went in last week to a lab for a pre-employment screen. It did not show up at all with their instant test strip result-but my other medication which is an opiate, did. Because of I had to go back that same day and give another urine specimen to be sent in for results. They just called and said only came up for oxycodone, no amphetamine even mentioned! I am super confused about it..I wonder if I am metabolizing it too fast or something is wrong with how I process some medications. Did you ever get an explanation?

Hi. I took vyvanse 40mg 3 times over a period of 5 days back in December. (December 3-8 2015). Just found out for the program I am in at school that we could have a hair follicle test-not just a urine test. I am scared I am going to fail it and be kicked out. Normally we only have a urine test and I know it would be out of my system by now but my hair? Different story. Any advice on what to do is appreciated. Do you think that's enough that it could show up higher than the cut off level? Or not?

I lost my job because of testing positive for amphetamines. So yes, Adderall does show up on most workplace panel urine tests

same thing I take addy every day and go to the doctor and half to pee for my pain killers, they don't want to prescribe me the medicine now because i never show for addy. I am like wtf is going on are they jacking me around or what. 5 tests and never once does addy show up and this is a hospital lap. Why is this?

Then please explain to me how my urine test came out negative. In fact, not only had I taken my daily dosage (30mg) of Adderall, I had taken Mobic and a pain killer (awaiting a hip replacement). These were taken just hours before my urine test- which came out negative. I'm just a 50 yr old housewife, who has been taking Adderall, as prescribed, for some time now. Because of an incorrect drug test,or lab error, I've been made to feel like a criminal.

Hi, I took a little adderall and i got called from my pain clinic for a pill count and urine test tomorrow. My count's fine but will it show in urine? If so im f***ed.

I passed a hair test! Took me buying a few products and doing some work in the shower for 2 hours but I passed. Ultra-clean, swimmers shampoo, and dog shampoo!! I am not kidding! My hair was dry as the F-word. Cranked the A/C in my car all the way to the clinic (it can re-contaminate with sweat). Cannabis and adderall patient. You're welcome!

Adderall doesn't show on hair test. For some odd reason I had a hair test done for the states court system and everything came back negative even tho I had taken adderall 30mgs 2 types a day for 2 years. The test were negative

Ive taken adderal xr 30mg twice a day for the last 4 months and 1 a day prior to on the change for more than a year. I have a prescription. My question is, I recently took a nail drug test and just got my results today. Im curious to know what >2000 pm/mg b means in relation to my script amd dosage? My mom is tripping out like Im misusing it amd Im not! Can anyone tell me if my results seem appropriate or explain them to me please? Thank you so much

If I am prescribed 20mg adderall daily, Will smoking cigarettes approximately (5-7) a day increase the levels in my system? I'm due for a first drug next week with my doctor. I'm curious to know if this will hinder me from getting my next prescription. The drug test will be to urinate in a cup.

Yeah what a horrible person graduating from College what could they possibly contribute to our society you're just as much a problem as he is if you perceive it that way I was diagnosed a.d.d over 25 years ago and I never took a thing I've held down two jobs the last 15 years 10 years at one and 5 on the other so tuck in your shirt pull up your britches like a big boy but down the crayons stop making excuses cuz you feel guilty about taking drugs.

Well deserved consequence of your illegal actions... It is illegal to take or to have in your possession a Schedule II Controlled Prescribed Drug without a Prescription.

Your are just one of the many I****S that contribute to the to why this is extremely controlled which makes it very difficult refilling this medication monthly for many people like me that truly have ADD/ADHD. This is how you contribute to my frustration and pain of getting this medication...

(1) I have to pick up a Triplicate Paper Prescription from my MD monthly (no refills or refilling over the phone allowed.
(2) Many Family Practice Physicians won't even prescribed this medication even if your diagnosed with ADD/ADHD.
(3) Every month I have to go in person to at least 2-4 Pharmacies just to see if they have the medication in stock. They run out of stock quickly. Also, they can't tell you over the phone if it is stock or not.
(3) Some Doctors & many Pharmacies they made you feel like you are a drug seeker/addict.

BTW not to intelligent writing on a public forum about your ILLEGAL DRUG USE. Plus I really don't care if you only took it once or twice, you are still contributing to a Nation Wide problem... KARMA is a B****!!! haha

Chemistry man- I have heard that Vicks inhaler also shows positive as an amphetamine on hair drug test, sometimes mistaken for adderall? Is this true?

Drugs like methamphetamine, MDMA, crank - your street drugs - show up as methamphetamines. For Adderall, when they have to have a test it's a separate bar on the cup that says amphetamines. There is a different test for amphetamines and methamphetamines. Adderall shows up as an amphetamine, and when you do drugs like Meth, Molly, MDMA, etc, they show up as methamphetamines. That's why when some employers give you a drug test they are testing for illegal drugs and that would fall under methamphetamines not amphetamines.... Hope this helps someone.

Yes but NOT on a HAIR TEST. Hair test 5 panel will always come up negative for it, unless they are abusing it (taking it in very high doses) or doing other drugs etc..
