Adderall Backorder (Page 95) (Top voted first)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

Where is this Smart Pharmacy? I googled and it said San Pablo & Atlantic, i just arrived here and it is closed down, has the location moved? Please help!

It's very simple!!! . . . . Just go to Costco's website an click into pharmacy then simply open the home mail delivery link n fill out ur info. then mail in ((using USPS 2~3 day priority mail, for tracking, only about $8 or $9.!)), ur prescription! THAT'S IT! then, sit back n wait till ya get an email telling you it's been mailed to ya an u should get it in a few days! =). You can also change the delivery method to 2~3 days n pay yourself but they're pretty quick as it is, so i'd save ur $! "i" paid for that b'cuz i needed it sooner lol.

Apparently some folks do not understand the inability to get Adderall. If a person has an extreme ADHD problem, or perhaps a level of ADHD that creates daily situations that cannot be managed without the medication. They either do not have ADHD or they are ignorant of the misery that can occur without proper treatment. I personally know how life is without Adderall. Surely I would not wish that on anyone. If one does not know all off the ramifications of the illness perhaps they should not comment on it.

Oooh wow! you sure you're ADD an not BIPOLAR? aha! an uuuh yeah, i know all about "my condition" thank you. I've also tried giving some good advice on where to go to ensure getting your meds, it's up to those who really want it to try it. so i believe i am free to be here, to try n help, to comment or try lightening the mood if i so wish to. however, what i meant, in joking was, that everyone who couldn't get their meds (any kind), would then expect a task force, and that would just never happen. maybe you missed my "lmao"? ((it meant "laughing my ass off" as in, joking)). so, lighten up! ('8; even when i miss my meds i'm not a b**** lol. happy hunting! (:

I had mine refilled today and the pharmacist said there’s a shortage due to hurricane Irma. Many manufacturers are in Puerto Rico and with out power are not producing. Even after they get power they will have to under go a FDA inspection before production.

I'm sorry I meant the 30mg tablets. How that came out as 60 I don't really know. Lol yeah makes more sense, from the pharmacy perspective if there even was such a thing as 60mg tablets. Omg that would be so pointless even 30can be too much and not as effective after a long stretch of time

There is no reason to doubt it has been ordered. But if there isn't any available from the suppliers they use. They only option you have is to go to different pharmacies. You could call different pharmacies and ask to speak to the pharmacist. Explain the situation and ask the pharmacist if they have any. Try Independent Pharmacies in your area. But, when there is a shortage in a area for this long and close to the end of the year. Unfortunately, it is common for the medication to not be available until mid to late January or February.

Have you also asked about 15 mg and 10 mg tablets ? Your doctor would have to be comfortable with writing you a new prescription for a different milligram until the 30 mg are back in stock. Some doctors are and some are not. Usually they don't become hesitant unless it is a smaller milligram.

Try Generic Depot in Pembroke Pines. The only thing is that he can't fill it unless you also have another non-narcotic prescription. No Scheduled Meds by themselves there.

All Walgreen's pharmacies in Pensacola, FL are out of generic AND name brand. Was told the supplier is not sure when the backorder will be fulfilled. I was told to contact my physician and have them send to a pharmacy that has it in stock.

It is covered by insurance if it is medically necessary. You can ask your doctor if they feel it’s medically necessary.
If you have narcolepsy, jt should be medically necessary given the potential danger not only
To yourself but the general public you’re operating a vehicle without medication.

The only thing I'm aware of that we can do as consumers is report a shortage to the FDA for your local pharmacy(s.) Other than that, we just have to sort of wait it out, and utilize what options we do have for filling. Since you're seeing a psychiatrist, I would def ask for help. My psychiatrist's office has been very sincere about the issue, and the office admin was even calling pharmacies for multiple patients.
