I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

hon scripts dont expire for "6 months"!!!! i've asked my pharmacist!

Now the script written on 9/29 has expired because its been 30 days & not 1 single pill to show for it, well spent $120 doctor visit!

Paying cash is no problem but now the few places that actually have it wont allow you to pay in cash because thats a RED FLAG, so says the DEA.

omg! i am sooo sorry for you! that really sux! were you ever able to fill it at a Costco warehouse??? that ins. co. sux man!!!
to bad it's so expensive or ya could just screw the ins. co. n pay outta pocket!

Well an update....my rx showed it DELIVERED on Thurs am, a little later at 2 pm i recvd a vmail from Costco and called back exactly 1 hr later when i left work to be told that my order was cancelled, why i ask, your SavRx insur info is a disc card and we dont accept disc cards, hmmm, i tell him it IS NOT a disc card but my Rx INSURANCE COVG and he argues with me, i tell him its an opyuon on their dropdwn menu for insur, he says its not while im staring at it. I finally get him to realize its insurance and then he says " well your Rx was just mailed back to you", they had it for 3 hrs then call me and w/in an hour mailed it back. They didnt even give me an hour to call and remedy the situation, this is insane, he finally xfers me to a Pharmcst and had to convince her my SavRx was insur too, i give her all my info and she says she can call and verify then i could mail the Rx back when i get it and she could then fill it, i agreed to this so she takes my # and says she will call back in a bit. 30 mins later she calls and says shes sorry and that i do have insur BUT my insur has their own mail Pharm and they wont pay for Costco. At this point ive pulled all but 1 hair from my head, soo i call SavRx & explain then ask for instr to mail them for filling and she says they wont fill Sched II over the mail & to bring it to a local pharm. Hmmm like i havent tried that already, sooooo at this point i either change meds or look for indiv Rx insur that Costco accepts and send it back to them which will be at least 2 wks before i would get my meds.....i am soo beat down over all of this that i now need a friggin xanax script to relax, jk, but this is seriously the most aggravating thing in all my life, completely at my wits end at this point!!!!!!

It is not just Adderall, it seems ALL drugs from this TEVA Pharmaceuticals are all on
back order! Mine is a very simple tylenol #4, on backorder since October 6, 2014! (It is VERY common, so why is it that NO ONE in Nevada at least, can get such to fill
prescriptions?). I think there is something very odd going on with this TEVA company.
(Perhaps Chinese fakes? Contamination?) CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES!!!

ha! i been mentioning Costco mail order for 6 mnths now n i'm surprised ppl are still not doing it!
oh well, everyone must not really mind the run around n the waiting lol.

Filling a script for Adderall this time of year is always a pain in the butt. I've heard different stories of why pharmacies are out of stock. I've heard that the FDA/DEA allows so much a year of the raw ingredients to be made. Another one is supply and demand. And the one I hate worst which I'm sure happens a lot, the pharmacy doesn't want to fool with filling the scripts because of the little extra paperwork they have to do. They all treat you like drug addicts. This is the reason I've switched to Vyvanse, which works better for me. Good luck to all of you trying to fill an Adderall script. Some doctors will write for 3 months worth and it is legal, so I would definitely use a mail ordering service like Costco, etc. Talk to your doctor about alternatives too.

yes, i dropped off my prescription on friday, it's tuesday and dont have it in yet.. my pharmacy said i can to get it somewhere else? what? still waiting...

well you can go to the "UPS Store" or "Mailboxes etc"...
they should still be opened! hopfully you'll read this before they close today =)

Ok thanks for the info, all filled out, surprised they dont ask for a copy of an i.d. Went to post office for priority mail but monday is a HOLIDAY, bummer!!!

oh yeah absolutely! 3 months is just the allowed amount you can get. doesnt hurt to ask'm tho! my dr. is the one who volunteered that amount so it'd save me $$ in dr. visits =)
let me know how it works out! did u go to the Costco pharmacy website & fill out ur info? that has to be done before they'll send you the meds!!!

I doubt he will write for 3 mos at a time, i was going to mail just a single mos script to get filled, thats still acceptable correct???

It's very simple!!! . . . . Just go to Costco's website an click into pharmacy then simply open the home mail delivery link n fill out ur info. then mail in ((using USPS 2~3 day priority mail, for tracking, only about $8 or $9.!)), ur prescription! THAT'S IT! then, sit back n wait till ya get an email telling you it's been mailed to ya an u should get it in a few days! =). You can also change the delivery method to 2~3 days n pay yourself but they're pretty quick as it is, so i'd save ur $! "i" paid for that b'cuz i needed it sooner lol.

~ You're gonna LOVE this mail delivery program!!!! ya wont be stressed out every month running around looking for your meds! you can get up to 3 months at a time, your dr. just fill out script for 3 months worth! aaaahh! you're gonna wonder why ya didnt do this sooner! good luck n let me know when ya get it in the mail!!! =)

PLEASE let me know how OptumRx works, im at the 3 wk mark of trying to get mine filled. I just filled out all thw stuff for Costco and am going to mail it today and see what happens. I dont know wha else to do other than move from this ridiculous state ive lived in all of my life. Its the DEA, NOT supply issues!!!!!!!!
