Adderall Backorder (Page 64) (Top voted first)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

Just went to the Kmart in small town USA & got my Teva brand Adderall script filed no problem. Adderall XR 25mg #60. Y'all are all in the south I think. While I'm in the NE where it's freezing cold! Good luck everyone!

Vickie, Hunting down a pharmacy with your medication in stock blows! It's not like you can even sit there & make phone calls because most times they won't give out whether they have it or not. With ALL the modern technology it's hard to understand how a back order of a medicine derived from man made ingredients could occur.

Try walmart's pharmacy they should have it. Thats where I used to get my script filled out in FL.

I have been going to Lane Ave pharmacy for about 2 years. They have always been in stock. One time a publix pharmacist told me to go to a 'mom and pop' pharmacy...they didn't have as many hoops to jump. I would never go back to cvs or Walgreens. I'm done running around. West side, lane ave

Just an update, had no prob getting my script filled today at my usual Walgreens in N. FL. Hopefully that means the 'backorder' issue has been resolved for the time being. Thanks for everyone's help and advice this past month. (:

Cvs always gives me the orange ones. Haven't seen the pink ones in prob a year. Maybe it's a regional thing? Either way I don't notice much difference between the two.

I follow the CDC's page on FB & have seen a lot of posts about getting kids therapy instead of drugs, myself i think becuz too many adults are taking their kids adderall.

Yes if script dated first week of month rite aid is always out of them..had no problem when script was filled on 15 the..I've called 3 rite aids today no one has them.

I hear you can mail-order for cheaper and no back-order hassles. Hit up the mom and pop shops stuffed in the back corner of hospitals. They almost always come thru. Keep looking, they are there. Target, Grocery stores, Walmart. This is happeninng all the time now and I'm going to try mail-order.

I have a script of 30mg instant and usually fill at publix but want to change up brand names for a better effect. It's been over a year since I've been to Walgreens, think they will give me any issues, or should I stick with publix that is twice as expensive?

There is no real danger when stopping adderall cold turkey. Its NOT like opiates or benzos where you go into severe withdrawl. I overtake my add script (3-30mg IR daily) by 1 or sometimes 2 tabs which obviously leaves me short every month, provided i cant get it sooner, which is rarely an issue around here (Boston)... but my point is, ive gone from 5-30mg tabs a day, for 15 days straight, and then to nothing at all, and the only significant withdrawal i ever have is minor depression along with social anxiety. And i would take that over detoxing from any opiate, any day.
