Adderall Backorder (Page 59) (Top voted first)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

hey Angie,
i'm in fort myers an there's been nothing here either i did finally get mine today, luckily i asked my pharmacist about other mgs. when she came to my counter to pick something up. i had to get a rescript from 20 to 10mgs tho cuz that's all Costco had. wish they'd told me this last week lol. the pharmicist said no 20mg till maybe mid feb. but i dont care as long as i can get them in 10mg & just dbl. so, did your walgreens say anything about the back order? will you have problems next month?

Hey Sharon, i didn't ask I was surprised they had it. I was there filling another script so I just happened to throw that one in when she said yes they would have them both ready I was pretty shocked but happy I may add. Good luck everyone

Hello,
I am in Fort Myers too.. Been trying to fill my 20 mg script qty 90 (would even take a partial fill) for 2 weeks, NOTHING! Please let me know if you found a place or what you recommend, it would be greatly appreciated, Have a GREAT day! :-)

In fact, if anyone finds locations can you please include the city. Many of us on this forum live in different states & cities.

Cvs pharmacist told me that they have only a certain amount they are allowed to fill each month. They told me the new order should be in by thurs or Friday.

I think, for the most part, the suppliers are restocking on a regular basis now. What u have to consider is that each pharmacy has a monthly supply limit, and I'm sure it goes fast. The beginng if the month is probably the best time to fill

I am also having a problem finding it. Whats Ironic about the whole situation is when we are all on this drug to focus we seem to still focus on getting it, without having it in us to help us focus.

Haha! Makes total sense to me :) most people don't have a problem focusing on things we like. It helps us focus on the stuff that we would prefer not to focus on. Like school and work :/

I too live In Jacksonville (orange park actually) and I have been without my daily medicine for three weeks now due to not being able to find anyone that can fill my script. I sure wish I could find someone.

Yes, I was able to... I stopped at a place that normally NEVER has it due to there demand, but just happened to get it in that day and I pulled to the drive up window , expecting the normal "no, everyone is trying to find" but was shocked to hear , sure thing! It will be 10 min!! I almost crashed my car I was so caught off guard. After driving to 20 pharmacies all over Cape Coral and Florida I was happy. Such nonsense that a legally prescribed drug is so hard to find and you can't call you have to go in. It's not like it is pain meds. No one ever robbed a pharmacy for adderall (from what I know lol) but I understand the control for class meds and the laws. Just a pain to fill sometimes. I though it was over back 13-14 months ago when the last drought happened. Thanks for all the advise :-)

Oh, yes.. I did see your post... I asked the pharmacy if I were to get a different strength would it look like I might have a chance to fill. I know that can't say but just wanted to see if it looked possible, as it's a pain to get my dr to change the script and then find out they don't have it. I did that 3 times last time this happened. Oh. I live in community just off of 6-mile cypress ,south of colonial blvd :-) and you?

WOW that's close lol! i live off Daniels & off Metro! if you go to your regular pharmacy where they know you more, they SHOULD tell ya what mg they have & if they'd have enough for you. are you a member at Costco?!? they're usually pretty good. well, hopefully Feburary will bring us better luck, i'm already stressed about it. . . . :-)
i'm gonna ck with my pharm b4 my dr. appt to see what's available! lol
