Adderall Backorder (Page 48) (Top voted first)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

Walmart are #3 in USA and have HUGE clout with Wholesalers ...

In the world of Wall Street investors Walmart is known for probably being number one in the whole country for logistics which basically means making sure their shelves are full.

Figuring out health/mental/physical related stuff can be really tricky. Traditional and alternative practitioners oftentimes don't have the answers for the really unique stuff so it's on us to advocate and research for ourselves. I actually take Adderall because without it, I find it very difficult to engage with the outside world. Physical fatigue can be caused by diet stuff, but could be pathogens, or an actual condition like hypothyroidism or adrenal issues, etc. Good luck on your journey.

I couldn't agree more but I believe it's done on purpose. Who do I hold accountable when i wreck my car or lose my job? I'm sick of this! 9 yrs! And they do this every couple of years yet pamphlet states DO NOT STOP ABRUPTLY! YET THEY ARE THE ONES DOING IT! DOESN'T THIS MAKE THEM LIABLE FOR ME LOSING MY JOB IF U KNOW A PERSON CAN'T GO WITHOUT?

The chain of causation, unfortunately, would be too difficult to survive summary judgment. Not to mention, corporate liability shields are pretty impenetrable - totally understand your frustration and wish there were some (any!) accountability for the incidents that arise pursuant to situations like this!

Central Market in San Antonio substituted their normal Lannet Adderall 30 mg with Mallinckrodt due to supply issues.

Picked up script and immediately noticed the change. My thoughts initially were this was going to be a very bad month.

Bottom line is the Mallinckrodt was so unbelievable awful- headaches, spaciness, dry mouth, stomach issues, etc- I lasted 4 days and called the pharmacist. Same old story, "I have no control what is bought by our pharmacy distributor. " I told her I could not make it through the month as I'm a University Professor and I was struggling with my lectures.

I was able to get my Doc to authorize pharmacy to find an alternative. They found Epic (old Corepharma) in one of their stores. The process of disposal of a Schedule II is on the customer as the retailer - by law- cannot take the meds back. After going back to my Doc to get another hard copy script ,went back to retailer who refused to take meds back. Doc was concerned as they have to ensure the old meds are destroyed properly or he could be flagged by the DEA. So how are these Epic 15mg tablets? Better. Not great but not having any side effects- and they at least have some efficacy....what a nightmare.

AFAIK the DEA/FDA restricts how much Adderall companies can produce in a given year (prior to that year). With all of the new Covid "long haulers", who often experience massive fatigue, likely adding additional need for stimulants, the DEA should stop being b****es and do something for those who -need- these medications. FFS.

Obviously. A big DEA drug bust of fake Adderall making headlines puts the meds manufacturers and the DEA under greater scrutiny.... They are going to investigate supplies of Adderall Nationwide and randomly test for impurities and foul play. Almost guaranteed.

I went back to my old pharmacy after 3 months. They had told my husband that they could get my medicine again when he was in there picking up a prescription for my son. I was skeptical because the past few months I have not had any medicine. I can not tolerate the way they treat me when I have to look for the medicine. I get angry because I cannot function well without them. I do not like to be treated like a junky and that is the way it feels to me. The pharmacy I go to doesn't treat me that way. They delivered the medicine and it was Teva brand. I had gotten the partial fill before I went to visit my Aunt. They never mentioned that at all.

Yes. I am. Last month, I called 6 pharmacies before I was able to find it at Kroger. Now, I cannot find it anywhere. I read somewhere that said issue was resolved. No it's not. I could not find it anywhere yesterday. This is just totally ridiculous. FDA should not put limits on the amount of controlled substances manufactured, especially with something that has increased in demand. I have been on Adderall forever....and it just affects people who need the medication .

Those of you having to go through this severe Adderall shortage, how long does it take to get it in? I told my pharmacy at Walmart to go ahead and order it for me after calling 10 other pharmacies.. That was last Wednesday on Oct 5th. I'm just wondering how long I might have to wait to get my prescription. This is crazy....why can't they plan for these situations? FDA needs to lighten up a bit on the production of controlled medications.

I take 30s and they have ran out of everything now the pharmaceutical company had a shortage of people and product so they're on backorder everywhere, out of 15 years this never had never happened but yep I haven't been able to get any because they ran out of all the milligrams within the first week of people having to switch. I'm in Indiana

List of Products Affected: Drug Shortage Detail - Amphetamine Mixed Salts

Estimated Resupply Dates:
Teva has amphetamine mixed salts in 10 mg, 20 mg, and 30 mg tablets on backorder and the company estimates a release date in early-October 2022. The 15 mg tablets are on back order and the company estimates a release date in early-to mid-November 2022.

Sandoz has amphetamine mixed salts in 10 mg and 30 mg tablets on back order and the company cannot estimate a release date.

Rhodes has amphetamine mixed salts in 5 mg and 15 mg tablets on back order and the company cannot estimate a release date. The 10 mg, 20 mg, and 30 mg tablets are in limited supply.

I called my doctor and told him what was going on and asked him to write my prescriptions as hard copies and went and picked them up. I have issue with Walgreen's because they always treat me poorly (like I am a drug addict). They have never carried through and gotten the Adderall for me. I got a partial fill from a client who is a pharmacist that works for Walgreens but even then I felt as if I were doing a drug deal. While I was gone to Arkansas my husband went to my pharmacy to get medication for my son and the pharmacist told him she could get mine again. The last time I got them there was end of June. So from July to September I was unable to get any medication. I did get mine at my small pharmacy and they were not old and they had them. I am afraid to hold my breath for next refill. Yup, SF is dry as a bone! I broke down and went to my doctor and asked if she could write me Ritalin instead, she did with no problem. I went to the first pharmacy and had it filled. I may stay on this, we'll see but so far so good. Good Luck ??
