Adderall Backorder (Page 32) (Top voted first)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

I dunno if your comment is for me but if it is, yes! Adderall through Costco mail order! it's awesome an I can not believe everyone here hasnt tried it instead of complaining they cant get it! I've given this info at least a couple months ago, ya'll should get on the ban wagon an just do it already! I've been doing this for the last 3 scripts of 3 months at a time an I LOVE IT!!!! NO more stressing every month!

you WILL thank me later when it comes to your door an no more running around!

Actually, yes you can get it filled through the mail, legally... I found out my insurance uses OptumRx for our pharmacy claims, and they also offer mail delivery, free of charge. I mail mail them my Adderall script each month, they receive it and verify it is legit, and then mail it to me. It is in my mail box a few days later. Only a $5 copy, and I do send it USPS with delivery confirmation, about 5 bucks extra a month... but it saves me so much time not having to play musical pharmacies!

NICHOLE ~ tell your dr. ya wanna use costcos home delivery program an he should write you a 3 month script (which will say delivery only on it), then go to costco's website, pharmacy and fill out the form. you will be verified through there. you must be a costco member and or have your info at your local costco pharmacy I dont remember if ya do, (I'm an employee). I've done this 3 times already so dont listen to the comment after your last!!! TRUST ME ITS FOR REAL!!!! :) U WONT REGRET IT!

GAIL ~ Costco takes many insur. i believe! an as ANY other pharmacy, if urs wont "let" you, then pay for it urself if ya can. many ppl seem to be willing to just pay for it to get it an at least it's available without running around every month right? s***, MY Dr. writes me 3 months at a time, that's the allowed (( for that med I think)). jUs' DOOO IT! lol

~ ~ my Dr. JUST mentioned to me 3 days ago about how ins. co's are possibly sending a letter to inform ppl that they're only gonna allow ppl to take 1 pill a day, doc says it's cuz of $$$ of course & told me not to worry about it tho.
~ ~ now, you "should" still be able to use that service to at least get ur meds without running around. you'll just get 1 month at a time that's all, i don't "think" they can prohibit you from using the Costco delivery program, unless Costco doesnt take your ins. you'll just do it monthly.
~ ~ i'm only 4 days away from (again) receiving my meds in the mail, an it feels SOOO GREAT that i didn't have to run around stressing about it or wonder IF/WHEN i'll ever get it!!!
~ ~ at least find out if your ins. HAS a del program you can use if Costco's not on your plan! =) GOOD LUCK n let me know how it works out ok?

Adderall 30mg generic. Been on back order for over 2.months.... called walgreens rite aid walgreens.... I did find one no name pharmacy that wanted to charge 300plus... way lame. Southern California. Orange county la county

I called my doctor and tried to get him to write for 20 more of the 15 mgs Adderrall that I was missing because I was only able to find 40 but had a prescription for 60. Well today while getting vitamins I decide to speak with the Winn. Dixie pharmacist. I asked him which strengths of Adderrall are easiest to fill and his response was 10, 20 & 30s are easiest to get. I'm in NW Orlando and the pharmacist recommended that I ask my doctor to give me 30 mg instead of 2 -15s because 15s are harder to get. Given that my doctor prescribed one at lunch and the other at 3pm. I really don't feel the full effect until I take the 2nd dose. Maybe he did it to wean me on and see what my tolerance would be because I was on Ritalin at first, but it didn't work so well for me. I was on Ritalin and still couldn't focus on studying or anything else. I asked for something different because I could be in the middle of something, get distracted and totally lose my train of thought. My doctor suggested changing me to Adderrall and for me it is so much better than Ritalin. Im glad the the pharmacist suggested asking to change my strength to 30 because I can't feel anything on one 15mg. I made an appoint to see doctor for tomorrow so I hope all goes well. I wonder if insurance will let him write me two 30s per day.

I feel your frustration! This is absolutely ridiculous, driving all day around town, trying to find a pharmacy (I know damn well they have them) just to be told, "We have none in stock, they are on back order." I go to Walgreens yesterday (where i ALWAYS have gone to fill SAME meds, for 4 straight yrs) and am told i have to be verified through a 10 point check system, which could take up to 30 days. SERIOUSLY?!?!? Are you kidding ??? Anyway.....Errrrr.. On a more positive note, anyone looking in Jax, Fl., you cam find them (with no issues) at Smart Pharmacy.

Adderall shrtg...i have driven to 21 pharmacys in the past 2 days in the Jacksonville area, same bulls*** tag line, we are out currently. 1 pharmacist at a Publix was honest and said they have quotas assigned by the DEA, each store can sell a certain #, if they sell this amount in 10 days they have to hold onto their remaining supply until day 31 before they can sell again. The DEA denies the existence of a quota program but if you go on their website there is a link for pharmacies to apply for a quota, hmmmm? Just what i figd. Sick of being lied to by pharmacies that i should never have to doubt. The biggest violator is without a doubt Walgreens, which is why they will never have my business again!!!

Samsun ..I was told by my doctors office manager that Walgreens is the first people to run out because they don't have a limit on how many they dispense where CVS does have a quota. If you think it's dry now wait until between now and the New Year. Also Walgreens had a sign on the drive thru stating in October any form of hydrocodone has be reclassified as a schedule 2 and you can no longer refill with a new prescription.

I just sent mine in for the first time to optumrx. These people treat u like a Meath head trying to get this stupid rx filled. I get 3 20s a day and called or visited over 15 places and said f it... I'm trying this. How long does it take to arrive from the day u sent it in for the first time? They say ten days but people who have used it say as little as 5. Does that include shipping?

Samsun I found my Adderrall at Winn Dixie. They have a different manufacturer from Sams Club which didn't have them in stock.

PLEASE let me know how OptumRx works, im at the 3 wk mark of trying to get mine filled. I just filled out all thw stuff for Costco and am going to mail it today and see what happens. I dont know wha else to do other than move from this ridiculous state ive lived in all of my life. Its the DEA, NOT supply issues!!!!!!!!

Paying cash is no problem but now the few places that actually have it wont allow you to pay in cash because thats a RED FLAG, so says the DEA.

oh how bulls***!!! ?? and ur mail service doesnt have them in stock? did u tell Costco that if that is the case? well, i dunno. i'm upset for you! talk to ur ins co. n tell them "they HAVE to find a way for u to get ur meds"! weather its them or authorization to Costco by cash! u pay these people so they should be helping you, tell them that! good luck!
