Actifed Cold And Allergy Availability (Page 4)

I always found Actifed to be the only cold medicine that worked for me. Now I cant find it at any of my local drug stores even behind the counter. Is it still available? Even the pharmacist I talked to thought it was on the shelf and then realized they quit carrying it.
Why this people treat us like this? No more actifed in stores. The congress that pass the bill to stop the producer need to be impeached. Actifed is the only trusting pill for allergy.
What area are you in?
My Walgreens ran out only a couple weeks ago, so I should consider myself lucky, I guess. Unfortunately, I am so miserable that it makes me terrified of the prospect of this miracle med being unavailable. If someone wants to start an internet petition to get this stuff back on the shelves, I would certainly join.
I was also using the Wal-Act from Wal-Greens which was working (not as good as the original Actifed) but OK. I just tried this past week to find it and they had none and stated they didn't know if they would be getting any. Believe it or not it seems to work a little like Benadryl cos without it I get itchy not quite hivey. I've tried everything else and nothing works like Actifed for my sinus and other issues. :(
You can get a box of 48 A DAY? Wow! That's awesome, because just about everywhere else you can find only 1 box of 48 a month. I think I'll be moving to S Cal very soon! Thanks for the tip!
Amen. I totally agree. Actifed was the only thing that worked.
I just purchased Wal-Act from Walgreens here in So Cal. I asked the pharmacist if she had any idea if they are discontinuing Wal-Act. She said she hasn't heard anything of the sort.
The packaging has now been changed from white & red to just a red box, kinda resembling Actifed. Because of state law, we can only buy 1 box (48 cnt) per day.
Wal-Act is no longer available at SW Michigan Walgreens. Not sure why, but shelves continue to remain empty.
Post names of these stores in Italy! Can it be ordered through them online?
Except that Wal-Act is now unavailable at any of our local Walgreens (sw lower Michigan).
Actified Cold and Allergy Medicine - DIN 02238302 ... small white tablet with Triproildine Hydrochloride as the antihistamine ... IT IS THE ONLY antihistamine that stops a bad bout of allergy (continuous sneezing) for me ... I always took it at bedtime as it makes me sleepy but that's fine at least I can sleep w/o waking up sneezing and sneezing ... and now SADLY I understand they have discontinued it. This is very upsetting as I have tried all of the newer expensive antihistamines but they are useless ... I've spent too much money on things that do not work.
I have also spent a lot of money trying other medicines, some of which are very costly too, but the result is ZERO.
"Actifed", please come back and save a lot of people from being suffered by cold, like me.
Aprodine (2.5 mg triprolidine HCL & 60 mg pseudoephedrine) is distributed by Major Pharmaceuticals, 31778 Enterprise Dr., Livonia, MI 48150, USA. My pharmacy was able to order some from their distributor
Not any more. Walgreens has stopped selling Wal-Act. It seems so unfair!
March 2013-Aprodine (2.5 mg triprolidine HCL & 60 mg pseudoephedrine) is distributed by Major Pharmaceuticals, 31778 Enterprise Dr., Livonia, MI 48150, USA. My pharmacy was able to order some from their distributor in Phoenix.
Try Wal-Act from Walgreens. It is the same as Actifed. It is Walgreens version of Actifed's original version (before the replacing of pseudoephedrine).
It is reasonably priced too.
48 pills for $8.00.
I had the same issue.
Use Wal-Act!
I discovered that Walgreens carries the generic of the original formula which includes pseudoephedrine & triprolidine. (The formula before replacing the pseudoephedrine.)
A while shortly after I couldn't find Actifed, I went to Walgreens & they explained that Actifed was discontinued, but their generic has been sucessful in sales, so they kept the Walgreens version (Wal-Act) on the shelves.
Good news. A substitute for Actifed is now available at Walgreens called Wal-act. It has both Pseudoephedrine and Triprolidine. I've tried it and it works .
just found actifed in italy..sold in every drugstore and no limit
I've found generic brand of Actifed. It's call Apodine and it worked great! I got them at Bi-Lo phamarcy. You have to sign for it. Bi-lo can order for you if they ran out.
