Accidentally Took A Double Dose Of Oxycontin 20mg. Help?

I have never been on oxycontin before but just recently got prescribed 20mg of it. I have taken dilaudid, morphine, and oxycodone pills before though. I accidentally took two oxycontins within 2 hours of eachother as my anxiety medication is small and the same color. Should i be ok or go to an emergency room?

I have been on Oxycontin 20 mg extended release. However today I accidentally took two of the 20mg at the same time. Am I in any danger or should I be okay? I'm sure I will have double the effect but I just want to make sure I will be okay. Thanks

Hi Winter,

I noticed that you had posted this back on 3/27/2017. Today is now 6/29/2017. How are you feeling? Did you ever sense the need to go to the emergency room or contact your doctor? My suspicion is that you probably would have turned out fine when the effects wore off (given your previous exposure to opiates of similar strength), but had this been me, I may have opted to call poison control [1-800-222-1222] and/or like you said, visit the ER... I'm under the impression that hospitals administer activated charcoal or Narcan (Naloxone) to help remove toxins / drugs from the body in case of an overdose... But please post back and let us know how you managed to overcome the situation?
