Acc 200 Given To A Dog
UpdatedCan i give acc 200 to my dog? She seems to have bronchitis and the vet gave her antibiotics, burpack and allergy pills but it seems to not work, so i tried to give her half of the acc 200 dissolved in water and she is a little bit better. Can i go on with the pill? Will it do anything to her?

Please will you let me know how ACC 200 has worked? I am desperate. I have a 7 month old Bengal kitten who is a rescue. She was very ill with snuffles when I got her at 3 months. Now she eats very well and is in superb condition, all but this constant thick green/yellow mucous in her nose. I clean it 3-5 times a day. My vet took a trachea swab and it turns out she is resistant to most antibiotics. I have the report. My vet is away and her partner is very belligerent and non communicative. She has just been on a week of antibiotic shots to no avail. I am waiting for the next steps to take but not very hopeful. I was wondering if it would not help if I could dry the mucous up by using ACC 200? I am sure it would be better not to have this constant mucous as a breeding ground for the bacteria?
Hello Jackie,
I have some good news and bad news. The good news is that I was able to find some sources that claim that acetylcysteine (Acc 200) is not dangerous to your dog, in fact it is often used in veterinary procedures to deal with acetaminophen toxicity. The bad news is that I was unable to find any credible sources that explain dosages or the practical use associated with bronchitis.
It is of my opinion that you should contact your vet and keep them in the loop. Unlike humans our pets are unable to let us know what's wrong and often we must trust our medical professionals to help us help our smaller companions. It is always better to err on the side of caution because with medication it is sometimes impossible to undo the damages of one simple dose, especially for animals who are much smaller and more likely to be effected by small doses.
I wish you and your dog the best. Have a wonderful day.
I also would like to know if l can give a dog ACC 200 for sticky phlegm when a vet isn't available. What dose for small dogs.
What is the cause of sticky phlegm in dogs?
