***avoid Coumadin!***

I am an athlete and I was diagnosed with a DVT a year ago, after waiting 5 hours at the emergency with a broken arm. I took coumadin for 3months, 5mg, the same year. Now I still train and I am very active. However, my blood pressure raised quickly and severely in the past months. My doctor doesn't know the cause. I talked with the specialist who gave the prescription of coumadin and he told me that it's possible due to the use of the medication. He told me that some people end up with high blood pressure and some with other complications. THIS MEDICATION IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! TRY TO AVOID IT! IT'S POISON... Opt for other medications.

Thanks for the heads up on this medication. There seem to be many discussion threads here relating to the issues people were having with it. From what I could gather, Coumadin (Warfarin Sodium) has some pretty serious side effects associated with it; "chest pain or pressure" being one of them.
