Anxiety Medicine N Tests

I'm prescribed activan 4 my depression and anxiety. I Wuz wondering if I were 2 take a xanax.would it show up on a drug test as a different drug or its da same ting. Jus curious since there basically da same type of medication.

They are both Benzodiazepines, but they are different chemicals and such tests can detect them specifically.

Ativan contains the active ingredient Lorazepam and Xanax contains Alprazolam.

They are really the same as far as dosing and effects, so there is really no point in taking the Xanax, as it likely won't do anything different for you than the Ativan does.
