Hi. my friend has Add, legitimately, however he has doctor shopped sort of...one doc SWIM gets prescribed adderall, the other ritalin....in average dosages. he see the docs about two weeks from one another. He sees each once a month. He lives in NY and there is this new law I-Stop which makes it mandatory for psychiatrists to consult the prescription monitoring database before prescribing controlled substances starting August 27, 20113. He plans on dropping one doc and just seeing one for ritalin and taking it as prescribed. If he stops doctor shopping now do you think he will be okay? Doyou think his main doc will still prescribe me ritalin once August comes and she checks the system if he gets his act straight starting now? For March, April, May, June, July and August he will have one...

side effects medication vs, adderall ? ## Can this medication be taken at the same time with Vitamin C? For some reason I think I was told it would diminish the effect of the medicine. Thank you. ## No, I didn't find anything listed saying that Vitamin C would have any effect on Adderall, though you should double check this information to be sure. And in regards to the original posted question, this is just a generic for Adderall, so the side effect profile is the same and may include nausea, headache, irritability, anorexia and insomnia. Are there any other questions I can help with? Learn more Adderall details here.

trying to find a doctor who will prescribe easily in NJ, who wont ask any questions ## Hi lexie, To my knowledge, virtually any type of doctor can see you for ADHD (pediatrician, psychiatrist, regular MD). Whether or not they want to pursue treatment is up to them and if so they might go for another medication rather than Adderall. Chances are if you walk in and say you have ADHD, then ask for an Adderall script you won't get it because it is seen as what they call "drug seeking behavior". Also, you can't expect them to not ask any questions, because that is essentially part of their job in making sure they give you the right medication and aren't just handing it over to someone who only wants to abuse it. Depending on your approach, I'm sure Adderall will remain...

I was taking brand name Adderall IR for about a year and found it to be very helpful. But since Teva/Barr/Duramed just changed the formula for brand name Adderall IR - and it's pretty awful - my pdoc switched me to Vyvanse. I'm wondering if maybe I should switch to Adderall XR instead (of Vyvanse)? Thanks for any and all replies. ## For anyone else that's looking for similar information, the best thing I can say is that it really depends on figuring out what works for you. Sometimes finding the right medication, once you've grown tolerant to one, or once something has changed about it, is just a matter of trial and error. Some people get lucky and the first thing they use works great for them and stays effective for years, but this doesn't happen for everyone. Thus, ...

What is this pill its a small white one no lines nothing on one side and on the other side has n and 10 underneith someone said it is a ritalin is this true? ## Hi Jenn, Based on the description provided, the pill you have is most-likely Canadian and manufactured by a company called Novopharm (also known as Teva Canada). It could be one of two drugs with the same imprint, both being white. If the "N" is very fat then it's a 10mg Tamoxifen Citrate (Nolvadex) tablet, which is an anti-estrogen drug. If the "N" is normal it's 10mg Domperidone (Novo-Domperidone), a gastrointestinal drug. There's other "N 10" imprints but they appear to be different colors. Novopharm is bad about ambiguous imprints, they have at least 10 different N 10 pills as far as I can...

I found some pills with 123 on one side and PMS I 20 on the other. Could someone please help verify what these are ## Hi Robert, Based on my research, the pill you have is most likely manufactured by the Canadian pharmaceutical company "Pharmascience". I haven't found enough reliable information to accurately identify your pill but from what I can gather, it could possibly be Ritalin. Ritalin (methylphenidate) is a central nervous system stimulant and is used to treat attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and narcolepsy (an uncontrollable desire to sleep). Here is a link to the Pharmascience's contact page if you'd like to ask them about the pill you have: pharmascience.com/canada/contact-us/ I hope this helps!

I Take 20 Mg XR capsule Amphetamine Salts. They Used To Be Orange capsules but Now it is a blue capsule. What 's The Difference? What changed? ## The EXACT same thing happened to me when I picked up my 20mg XR Generic Adderall. It works the same to me but what's going on!? Is this a permanent change? ## I can't provide any more precise details, without knowing the markings on the capsules. However, my best guess is being a generic, you have most likely just received one that's been manufactured by a different company, than the one you were getting. When a medication is available as a generic, it is normal for a pharmacy to switch the one they provide, whenever they may get a cheaper offer from another company. It's how they keep the costs down for their customers tha...

I found this capsule and I'm not sure what it is. Can you please help me with this? Thanks you. ## I'm happy to help! I believe the imprint you're looking at is actually NVR D35, which is a capsule with the NVR on the blue half and the D35 on the yellow. This is a 35mg Focalin XR capsule, which contains the active ingredient Dexmethylphenidate, which is most commonly used to treat ADHD. Where did you find it? I have been taking dextroamphetamine for several years .in dec 2011 I could not find any, I was told they were back ordered and that the drug and food agency had a limitation on how much could be sent to each state. now in 2013 they are back and the price has sky rocketed i think they created the shortage so they could raise the price ## You are entitled to your opinion, but such conspiracy theories usually have little merit and are rarely born out by research and time. There are limits on how much a pharmacy can order and stock in any given month of all controlled substances, it's not a limit placed on states, but on each pharmacy according to the size of their normal customer base. Anyone curious can read more Dextroamphetamine details here. How much has the price changed for you?

Is there a free or low cost prescription program for Amphetamine Salt? My income is below $20,000 a year and I'm single with no insurance. Please help! ## No, I'm sorry, since this is a generic for Adderall, there is no assistance program available for it. Those are usually only offered while something is exclusively available as a name brand, with a much higher cost. The best suggestion I can make is to look into pharmacy discount programs, there are some free ones that can save you money at participating pharmacies, or check various pharmacies in your area and compare the prices to find who has it at the lowest cost. Does anyone else have any ideas? In case you're new to taking it, you can read more Adderall details here.

My foster son has ADHA he just began taking D-amphetamine salt combo 5mg. it is blue, round, x on one side of tab and cor 130 on the other side. how long till i start seeing it work for him and what are side effects and signs that its not working. ## It should start to have some effect immediately, since it is an Amphetamine combination, but it will take about 4 to 6 weeks for it to reach its full effect in his body. If it isn't working for him, then you won't see an improvement in his behavior or attention span, when that 4 to 6 weeks has been reached. The side effects may include nausea, irritability, loss of appetite, insomnia and you can read more about the mixed Amphetamine Salts here. Are you familiar with ADHD, at all?

Adderall worked wonders when I first started it. Now, however, I find that after about 2 hours (the half-live of the more abundant dextroamphetamine, that I have a strong urge to take a nap. I switched to Adderall XR...and same problem. I believe over time these drugs (amphetamines) down-regulate dopamine to the point of Dopamine depletion.
