Adderall Daytime Fatigue And Premature Aging

Adderall worked wonders when I first started it.

Now, however, I find that after about 2 hours
(the half-live of the more abundant dextroamphetamine,
that I have a strong urge to take a nap.

I switched to Adderall XR...and same problem.

I believe over time these drugs (amphetamines)
down-regulate dopamine to the point of Dopamine depletion. This is not simply opinion, but science
showing this cogently. Browse scholar.google.com
to search the medical journals.

There is even research.....in its early stages, that
amphetamine can, in --some-- individuals increase
the speed of gene expression (ie genes express themselves faster) Bluntly stated: it ages you.

I noticed within the first year of taking it my hair began
turning white (im 23/m and other things that make
sense with respect to changing the speed which
genes express themselves.

But back to my complaint: the daytime fatigue,
at least for me, was absolutely awful, to the poin
where I HAD to stop this medication.

Well, it is also completely normal for any medication to stop working as well for you over time. It happens to everyone eventually, once your body gets used to a medication.

When this occurs, you may need a dosage adjustment, switch to a different medication, or to discontinue it, as you've had to do.

Have you tried any of the other medications in the same therapeutic category, such as Concerta?
